I’m writing this review for people who were worried like I was, because it was hard to find detailed reviews before surgery~~ (I originally had no intention of writing a review, so I didn’t take any photos right after surgery or during recovery..) (1) Consultation The consultation went in the order of consultant - director - consultant. The consultant seemed friendly, but she had a strong personality and spoke in a pushy way, so it felt a bit burdensome. She kind of steered me into feeling like I had to schedule the surgery date quickly. The director’s consultation was blunt, but he didn’t pressure me into other procedures and only consulted me about the surgery I wanted. He wasn’t exactly friendly, but the consultation itself felt clean and straightforward. (He also recommended epicanthoplasty because of the shape of my Mongolian folds, but when I said I couldn’t because I had to return to daily life right away, he didn’t bring it up further.) I think there was a consultation fee, and if you scheduled surgery right away, there was no consultation fee. (2) Surgery I was able to schedule the surgery date really quickly. (There didn’t seem to be any clients on the consultation day or on the surgery day..) The surgery time was about 30 minutes, and since it was under local anesthesia, it ended really quickly. They said office workers even come in during lunch break to get it done, but I don’t think it’s quite to that extent lol When they injected the local anesthesia, two shots, one on each side, hurt intensely, and after that it didn’t hurt at all. The director told me to look right, left, and up, but continuously looking upward was actually harder. I didn’t even know when the surgery started. While I was thinking, what are they doing…? I just felt something being pulled with thread in the middle. After the surgery, I rested on the bed while applying an ice pack, then was discharged. (3) Whether Daily Life Is Possible After Surgery First, on the day of surgery there was no swelling and the surgical area looked clean, so daily life was no problem. (I did have a headache, maybe because of the anesthesia or because I was nervous.) My eyes started swelling from day 2. Only the eyes swelled, and the scars or stitch marks weren’t visible, so people who don’t swell much could probably go to work. The stitches look like eyelashes. I’m the type who swells easily, so I was pretty swollen until day 3, and I thought it was good that I had it done over a weekend. I went to work from day 4, and everyone said things like they didn’t know what I had done, but why were my eyes so swollen, was I sick, and I heard that a lot lolololol. It stayed like that until the stitches were removed, so I was embarrassed.. But it was to the extent that people would accept it if I pretended my face was swollen because I had a bad cold/body aches. (4) Friendliness The consultant and the director felt the same from the first day to the surgery day and the stitch removal day. (Director blunt, consultant seemingly friendly but with a strong personality.) The front desk staff member was super kind on the consultation day and surgery day, but on the day I went to get my stitches removed, she seemed kind of indifferent. (5) Facility Some people said it wasn’t great because it’s an old building, but I was fine with it. It felt average~. (6) Surgery Cost It was 600,000 won per canthoplasty, so the Wonder Canthoplasty, meaning lateral canthoplasty + lowering the outer eye corners, was 1.32 million won including VAT. (When I searched, there were so many comments saying it was 600,000 per canthoplasty~ 600,000 per area~ just 600,000~ so I was confused, but that’s what I paid.) (7) Surgical Progress Right after surgery and for about a week after stitch removal, my satisfaction was really high. My eyes were originally downturned, so I wasn’t expecting a gentle impression, and I was actually worried my eyes might droop even more. But it felt like they became longer horizontally more than I expected. For about a month, I was worried because the red flesh at the outer corners of my eyes was visible, but now it isn’t visible. But now the surgical effect is gone too. It has almost returned lol.. Still, the outer corners of my eyes remain nicely pointed and I had no side effects, so I’m thinking about getting revision surgery. I can smile with my eyes well, I don’t have eye irritation, and my eyes close all the way. They said AS is also possible after 6 months and within 1 year, so I’m thinking about trying revision surgery together with epicanthoplasty.. but I saw a review where someone had repeated revision surgeries and it attached upward even more, so I’m debating..
