It’s my first double-eyelid surgery, and I’ve gone to 3 places for consultations so far. I’m debating whether to stop here or keep looking around more.
The eyes I want are inline double eyelids like NewJeans Minji’s, and I don’t need canthoplasty or ptosis correction. Literally, my only goal is double eyelids! I wanted non-incisional without needing an incision, and my right eye already has a double eyelid, so I wanted either that line or a line slightly higher than that. At all the places I visited, the consultation went in the order of consultant → director → consultant.
1. ㅌㅇㅅ (Director ㅇㅈㅍ) - Surgery time is 30 minutes to 1 hour. Local anesthesia after sedation. They said non-incisional is possible. - They said it depends on the person, but major swelling lasts about 1-2 weeks, and it takes about 3 months for minor swelling to subside. - They said scars almost never remain, but if marks do remain, they fade after about 3 months. - After surgery, they provide a warranty certificate, and if revision surgery is needed, they offer free after-service for up to 1 year, but they said it cannot be done during peak season. - For aftercare, swelling laser is provided unlimited for one month, with no additional cost. - They said no other hospital visits are needed. - For operating room CCTV, if a guardian requests it in advance, they can watch in real time, but audio/video recording is not allowed, and it can be viewed at 10-minute intervals. - Consultation fee is 10,000 won. - The line was good, and there was no overtreatment. The official website says they have an anesthesiologist. The wait took 1 hour longer than my reserved time.
2. ㅁㄷㅇ (Director ㅇㅌㄱ) - Surgery time is 10 minutes, but they said with anesthesia and other preparation it takes 30-40 minutes. Local anesthesia after sedation. They said non-incisional is possible. - They said there is some skin laxity, but since it’s my first surgery and I already have a bit of a line, they recommend non-incisional. They also said it would be a waste to do an incision just for an inline crease. - The consultant asked for ptosis correction, but the director said if what I want from my current eyes is just double eyelids, there’s no need to do it. - They said I should visit 1 week after surgery to check progress, and depending on the need, visit about 1-2 more times. - They said CCTV can be viewed, but because it is closed-circuit, there is a separate fee. - They said to be careful with makeup for at least about a month after surgery. Light makeup, like sunscreen, is possible after 1-2 weeks. Be careful when washing the face. - Aftercare includes swelling laser, 1 recovery injection, and an ice pack kit. - No separate consultation fee. - It was exactly the line I wanted, and I liked that the director didn’t push anything excessive. But the consultant was a bit pressuring… They try to schedule things really quickly. - The director is good, but I’m debating this clinic because of the consultant - There is no separate anesthesiologist, and maybe because I went in the morning, I had the consultation after waiting 10-20 minutes.
3. ㅈㅇㅌ (Director ㄱㅈㅅ) - Surgery time is 10 minutes, but they said with anesthesia and other preparation, this place also takes 30-40 minutes. Local anesthesia after sedation. Non-incisional is possible. - They said my eye-opening strength is not bad, but because I don’t have double eyelids, extra skin comes down and makes my eyes look stuffy, so I open my eyes using forehead strength. - But they did not separately recommend ptosis correction. - They drew both an inline and an in-out line for me. They set it a bit higher than ㅁㄷㅇ, but it felt better than expected. - They said I would come in at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and so on, to check eye progress with the director. - The AS period is free within 1 year, and they said here, within 3 years, only the anesthesia fee is charged. - There’s no swelling laser or anything like that, and for aftercare, if needed under the director’s check, they give a swelling injection. - Intense exercise is prohibited for one month. For face washing, cleansing foam is possible from day 7. Eye makeup and contact lenses are all possible after 2-3 weeks. - CCTV can be viewed, but you need to request it in advance, and they said there is no separate fee. - No overtreatment and no separate consultation fee. The official website lists an anesthesiologist, and I had the consultation after waiting 10-20 minutes.
The prices are similar, and the place where surgery is available the soonest is ㅁㄷㅇ. The line at ㅁㄷㅇ is also good, but the consultant is a bit pressuring.. At ㅈㅇㅌ, I liked that the director started by explaining my eyes. The consultant also wasn’t pressuring. But the line is kind of ambiguous,, The more consultations I go to, the more confused I get, so I also want to just stop here. If it were you, where do you think you’d choose?
