I didn't shop around at all and just followed a friend to a clinic for LASEK. It has been exactly about a year and a half since then, and so far I am very satisfied with no side effects. My vision was very poor, I had severe astigmatism, and my corneas were not thick, so they said LASIK was not possible. (Since I didn't consult other clinics, I don't know if that was just this clinic's opinion..) I proceeded with LASEK, and I have had no major issues from surgery until now. But definitely, until about 3-4 months right after surgery, my dry eye was so severe that when I woke up, my eyes hurt so much I could barely open them I already lived with artificial tears before, so it didn't become that much more inconvenient than before, but I think you should keep it in mind. I also developed slight glare, but I haven't driven yet, so I don't know And I don't know what connection this has, but after LASEK, maybe because my skin became dry or for some other reason, both my friend and I used to have monolids, but double eyelid lines appeared. Thanks to that, I thought I saved money by not getting double eyelid surgery, so I diligently shaped the line and used double eyelid tape, and now the double eyelids have settled, so I have double eyelids now.. I don't know if it's related though? Those with thin eyelids and monolids, please take note!
