Recently, when I took photos, I just couldn’t manage the multiple crease lines.. So I impulsively got double eyelid surgery during my summer vacation
Eye characteristics: monolids, severe Mongolian folds with a hooked shape, eyelid drooping, multiple crease lines, sunken eyes, hollow eyes
Surgical method: full incision, epicanthoplasty, in-out line
All attached images were taken with the basic iPhone camera
What I’m satisfied with: I was really worried because, from when I was going around for epicanthoplasty consultations, every clinic said something different. Also, the distance between my eyes wasn’t particularly wide (3.2~3.5). But now that I’ve actually had epicanthoplasty, I feel like my eyes look much more like my own and more natural
What I’m disappointed about: On one eye, the epicanthoplasty area has some skin protruding because of the stitches It seems like scar tissue, and when I looked it up, some people said it faded quickly while others said it didn’t, so I’m worried
*Lastly, they said I didn’t need ptosis correction, so I didn’t get it, but on the first day, because of the swelling, I regretted it and thought, ah, should I have done it..? Looking at it now, I think not doing it was truly the right choice
During the consultation, they said that if only the drooping eyelids were incised, my eyes wouldn’t be small, and just as the doctor said, it’s much easier to open my eyes now I hope the swelling goes down more quickly so I can open them more clearly
After more than a month passes and the double eyelid crease settles to suit my eyes, I’ll write another review
