Hospital name: ㅁㅌ Director ㅇㅎㅅ Consultation fee: 10,000 won
Consultation for my first surgery! First, when I went in, they took photos with a camera from the front, 45 degrees, and 90 degrees, and with my head tilted up, right and left. Then I had the consultation with the director. My first impression was that there was not even a hint of a smile, and he was not friendly during the consultation. This is now the 4th hospital I have consulted at, and before this I had also gone for consultations at places that are considered fairly famous. Usually it was 3.5-3.8 million won, and if expensive, I think it was 4.1 or 4.3 million. The first place I consulted at was a long time ago, so my memory is fuzzy. (Those places included VAT.) The place I consulted at now quoted 4.5 million won, and VAT is separate.
I said my concern was that I have a droopy nose and my nasal tip is low, so I want to improve the height. He firmly said that a droopy nose cannot be improved. He said my nose has a slight hump. (I had lived my whole life not knowing that.) But at the previous hospital too, they said my nose was slightly deviated, but not enough to worry about much. So here too, he said if the hump does not bother me, I do not have to do anything about it, but the droopy nose definitely cannot be corrected; only raising the nasal tip is possible. He said if the tip is simply lifted, it will look even more upturned, so like surgery for an upturned nose, they would have to open it and lower the nasal tip so it does not look upturned. I told him I had filler about 10 years ago lol. He said it is still there and needs to be dissolved, but if it is dissolved, the nasal tip may not be smooth. He said if I want it to be smooth, the nasal hump has to be shaved down and an implant has to be used. If I do not mind it not being smooth, he said I could just have surgery on the nasal tip area, use septal cartilage, and if that is not enough, use ear cartilage. So I said I prefer it smooth, and the director consultation ended. Other places showed before-and-after photos of previous patients with similar noses and consulted that way, but here they did not show me anything. It ended very quickly, and since I also do not really know much more about noses, I had nothing to ask. I consulted with the manager. She told me up to which day I would need to come to the hospital and when the splint would be removed. She said there is aftercare/AS for 3 months? 3 years? but for cosmetic purposes, something would be discounted by a few dozen percent. The price was 4.5 million won, but if I agree to disclose photos on the website and at the hospital, it would be 4.3 million. They said dissolving the filler would be done as a service, and VAT is separate from that amount. Also, I heard that the difference from regular plastic surgery clinics during surgery is that they put you under sedation briefly, then wake you up after that, do only local anesthesia, show you the nose, and shape it. My personal opinion :The price difference compared with other hospitals was big, and it felt like there were a lot of additional surgeries being added. At other places, if it was nasal tip surgery, they said that since the nasal bridge filler was done a very long time ago, and even if a little remained, it did not matter if it was not dissolved. They mentioned surgery to extend/lower the nasal tip and silicone, and one place additionally mentioned alar rim lowering. This hospital said a lot of different things all had to be done, said the droopy nose would not improve and that there would only be nasal tip heightening, and it felt like they were trying to add too many things. So I thought the price was too expensive for a first surgery, and I no longer wanted to have surgery here. I will attach my nose. It is a droopy nose, but it is less severe than people who have it really badly, you know? Is it really impossible to improve this?
