I went last week. Seriously, the more places I visit, the more confused I get. In conclusion, I recommend not going to too many consultations...... It gets sooooo confusing.
Honestly, before I found this community, I just looked at Babitalk and went mainly to hospitals whose names came up on the boards, focusing on single-doctor clinics or places with 4 doctors or fewer, and I went to all of them in Gangnam. I think I made the list badly....... The surgery I want isn’t that major, so most of them were similar, but since I said my main goal was to improve opening my eyes with my forehead, they all said I needed ptosis correction. I went to all places in Gangnam. One hospital said I absolutely had to do an incisional method.
The most confusing part is that they’re all split into incisional, non-incisional, and partial-incisional methods, and when a hospital says non-incisional is definitely possible, I start wondering, do they just not know well..? Then when a doctor recommends incisional, I wonder whether they’re recommending it because they’ve done it a lot and think there’s less chance of loosening, or because the fee is higher.
The person who recommended incisional also said my skin is thick, and the doctor who said non-incisional is possible said my skin is thin... Some said my ptosis is severe, some said there is almost none, and some said it’s mixed. How on earth am I supposed to do this now..???? Who am I supposed to trust...?
Ah, among the 10 hospitals, only one did not mention same-day booking...................... Is all of Gangnam like this? I want to try another area.
Can anyone recommend a single-doctor clinic that has really focused on eyes for a long time? Anywhere in the Seoul metropolitan area is fine.
