Beforebeforebeforebeforeafterafterafterafterafter First of all, my nose looks blunt from the front, and my nostrils are quite visible. Especially when I smiled, my nose spread a lot, so it was stressful. I think whenever I took photos, I always covered the tip of my nose with my hand.
I had wanted to get nostril/alar base reduction for a few years, but I kept hesitating because I thought if it went wrong, it might look like a clothespin. While researching, I heard that this clinic reduces it naturally without making it obvious, so I searched for a huge number of reviews.
Of course I also did online research on other hospitals.. It did seem like there were quite a few good hospitals, but I felt like I would regret it if I didn’t do it at this clinic. It was my top pick.
If there was one thing that bothered me.. the price..? When I looked into it, it was a bit much.. more expensive than other hospitals. But since my mindset from the start was, I will only do nostril/alar base reduction and won’t touch anything else!! I thought, since I’m doing it anyway, let’s do it somewhere I like even if it isn’t cheap!! So after the consultation, I booked same-day surgery.
First, I consulted with the consultation manager for almost 40 minutes..? She consulted very thoroughly and kindly with me, even though I knew nothing about noses! I learned a lot of things I hadn’t known. She said that instead of doing only nostril/alar base reduction, doing some other things together would make it naturally prettier, so I did them together without a second thought! I think it was minimal intranasal incision nostril/alar base reduction / correction of alar drooping / correction of alar curvature.
After consulting with the manager first, I consulted with the director right before surgery, but it was very brief. About 2-3 minutes? The director wasn’t exactly friendly..
Anyway, they gave local anesthesia to the nose for surgery.. It was truly awful.. I’m sure I saw reviews saying it would be over in about 5 seconds (maybe I saw wrong..) but they injected anesthesia into several areas of my nose for about 10-15 seconds.. I’ve also had nostril/alar base reduction injections before, but this hurt more and gave me chills.. And it even continued for over 10 seconds,, wow, I thought I was going to die.. I’m not the type to exaggerate pain that much, but I absolutely never want to experience it again In the middle of the surgery, they showed me one side as the before nose and the other side as the after nose, and the difference was really big~
But at that moment, the nose shape looked a bit strange, so I thought, 'Huh.. is it turning out weird or not?' But there was no need to worry after seeing that~ (when it’s finished, it looks good) I felt slight stinging here and there during the surgery, so when I told them, they gave more local anesthesia~ The surgery ended well, and I went home wearing a mask.
Even though it was the first day of surgery, when I looked at my nose, it seemed okay!! It did feel like my nose had been brought inward a bit, but I liked that in its own way too.
When I got home, my family also said my nose turned out so naturally and well, so I was happy
A week later, I got the stitches removed, but it hadn’t healed properly yet, so after removing the stitches, they sewed a few stitches again.. They asked whether to do anesthesia or just do it raw.. Ugh, thinking of doing that anesthesia again, I just couldn’t. So they stitched my bare skin.. ^^ The pain was similar to the anesthesia ^^ haha..
I managed it diligently while applying eye ointment Even a slight smile made my nose pull really hard, but now that it’s exactly one month, it definitely feels like my nose pulls less!!!
My friends said I became prettier after nostril/alar base reduction They said it turned out very naturally and well! Friends who didn’t know I had surgery didn’t know until the end because I didn’t tell them
Especially when I take photos, my nose is different! I like it.
Satisfaction (4.5/5) The 0.5 is because the price is a little wicked...
This was my 1-month review. I’ll come back with a 3-month review!!
