I had revision rhinoplasty, and thankfully the shape settled well, and the problems I had with my nose, a hump nose, deviated nose, and bulbous nose, all seem to have been corrected well, so I’m writing a review
I got teased quite a lot because of the shape of my nose itself; it stood out a lot in comparison. Why does everyone except me have a pretty nose.. Honestly, I got teased even after I had nose surgery.. The nose shape was one thing, but my nasal tip also drooped, and I even had nostril asymmetry, so it was insanely stressful;
While getting consultations, since I was doing it again, I really wanted to do well this time, so I said I wanted it to feel naturally refined? I said I wanted to raise the nasal bridge first so I did it with silicone, and the nasal tip was done with autologous costal cartilage + alar reduction too
Honestly, because it was autologous costal cartilage, I was really worried it would hurt a lot, but I don’t know if I’m just insensitive, but during the first week there wasn’t much pain.
After removing the splint, I had some bruising on the nasal bridge, and once the cotton and stitches in my nose were removed, it was heaven Right, nose surgery was like this, I felt it once again.. I wore an abdominal/chest binder for a few days, and that was just a bit stuffy? When they later said I didn’t have to wear it anymore, I was comfortable.
Now the area where autologous costal cartilage was used had a slight tingling feeling that came and went, then disappeared, and the bruising and swelling in my nose seem almost all gone? At first I wondered if it had been raised too excessively, but now that I can see it settling into place, it feels exactly like what I wanted And honestly, wide nostril wings might not seem like a big deal but I got really stressed every time I took photos. I think it was good that I did alar reduction too
