I’ve been under enormous stress since childhood because of protruding ears. As soon as I learned that protruding ears can be operated on too, I went right away. The director looked at me and was a little cold. In the past, when I had nose surgery as a child, ear cartilage had been removed, and back then my ears had some pretty bad scarring. They said they would fix that too! The surgery took about 2 hours, and the result was extremely, extremely, extremely satisfying. Other people may not care, but for people with protruding ears, when you tie your hair up, the ear popping out with a little bounce is probably the most stressful thing. I’m really grateful.. When I went back a week later for follow-up, the ear where the cartilage had been taken had a bit of skin necrosis, but even though it was Friday at 7 p.m., they told me to lie back on the operating table and treated it again.
