I simply wanted to get rhinoplasty, so I looked for a hospital. After reading reviews, I saw a lot of people here went there, so I went and even had surgery there. At that time, semi-ski-slope noses were popular regardless of gender, so I did that too. It was surgery from 8 years ago.. Honestly, the nose design came out the way I wanted, so I didn’t think I was dissatisfied, but as time passed, straight noses became popular for men too, and they give a much stronger masculine impression, so my desire for revision surgery became strong.
(When looking into revision surgery) At this time too, there weren’t many people around me who had plastic surgery, so I didn’t have much information. Honestly, the hospital where I had my first rhinoplasty had at least made the design exactly as I requested, so I thought, should I go there for a revision consultation? and ended up going. It was 8 years ago..;; I wondered what I’d do if the hospital had disappeared, but thankfully it was still there. During the consultation, when I told them the nose I wanted, they explained in detail how surgery could be done from my current nose. Since I had surgery 8 years ago, I didn’t remember well.. and I found myself thinking, were there always this many nasal materials?;; Anyway, it’s certain that the director explained everything in detail so I could understand as much as possible. Anyone looking into revision surgery will feel this, but honestly, there’s no way it isn’t scary. So I also said all sorts of things to the director, but he explained each point one by one without seeming annoyed, so I thought it was good that I came all the way here for a revision consultation. He didn’t just explain it verbally, but showed me something like reference images? on the monitor while explaining, so I think it was easier to understand.
(After revision surgery) I don’t know if it’s just me, but compared with my first surgery 8 years ago, it feels like I’m having less of a hard time. Has medical technology advanced since then? The swelling is going down faster than I expected, and even though I’m only one month post-op, I feel like it’s going down pretty quickly. Since I changed from a semi-ski-slope nose to a straight nose, I was worried what if it didn’t suit me, but it was needless worry. People around me keep saying it looks much better now whenever they see me, so I feel a little embarrassed. I had it done by Director ㄱㅈㅎ, and even though I only explained it in words, he shaped the nose design the way I wanted, so I feel relieved. At that point, I felt that meeting the right director to operate on you is more important than the hospital itself. I plan to keep watching as the swelling goes down, but I’m already quite satisfied now, so I’m going to try not to stress too much over it.
