Before <front photo before the procedure, not clenching, just taken normally> Before <side view before the procedure> After <one week after the procedure, some bruising and swelling has gone down a lot> After after <about 50 days? after the procedure> It’s the same person haha… I got jaw Botox regularly, but my jaw muscles were really severe to the point that they recommended 100 units every time I got it. It’s not like I was chewing squid every day In the past, I even considered facial contouring surgery, but when I went around for facial contouring consultations, maybe it was an honest clinic, they said this wasn’t all bone and that the muscle was the problem, so the muscle needed to be reduced. So I kept getting by with Botox, but even when I got the most expensive one, the duration was just a bit longer and it came back quickly I searched a ton for things like how to reduce jaw muscles and how to reduce a square jaw, and I heard that people like me whose muscles are extremely hypertrophied or who have received a lot of Botox and developed as much resistance as possible often get masseter reduction. So I visited Volume, and since it’s a private clinic, I had a consultation with Director Han Seung-oh without designating a specific doctor. The doctor said my muscles were very severe and that compensatory muscles and things like that were also quite developed, and that he would reduce only the unnecessary muscles, so I asked them to schedule the procedure for the earliest possible date, and I think I had the surgery almost the next week lol
The procedure time takes about 30-40 minutes, and I stayed in the recovery room for a little over 30 minutes before being discharged. It seems like they let you go if you wake up from anesthesia and can walk around well. On day 3, I also received all the swelling care and things like that. Don’t take the swelling too lightly haha Think of it as air slowly coming out of a big balloon for 2-3 weeks~
If you look at the day 7 photo, there’s a little bruising, but it was fascinating because it seemed like the muscle had reduced. At that time, even people close to me said it seemed like it would be effective once the swelling went down more, so I felt good haha After a month and a half passed, it reduced much more than I had expected! One month is exactly the critical point!
I don’t have to do the flower pose when taking photos anymore, and these days even when I just take photos randomly, my lower face looks slimmer, so life feels worth living Everyone asks what I did, but when I say masseter reduction, they don’t really know what it is, so I’m explaining this and that.. Even my parents were surprised when they saw my face. I guess it wasn’t cheek fat, it was all muscle These days I’m looking into things like elasticity care haha Out of all the procedures I’ve had so far, I’m the most satisfied with this one
