I realized something big this time.. When having revision surgery, especially if you are raising the line above the existing line and doing it by incision, make sure to ask, “What happens to the existing scar?” I didn’t know, but apparently raising the line can also be done by a double-line excision method. The doctor didn’t mention double-line excision, so I didn’t know and paid the deposit, then found out the next day by searching on my own. I don’t want to do double-line excision. When I told the manager that, they said not to worry because the director said he would match what I wanted as much as possible. So on the day of surgery I talked to the director again, and he said he could do it the way I wanted, but it would become more asymmetric, and if problems occurred I shouldn’t blame him. That’s basically the same as saying he can’t do it. So I canceled the surgery and came home. Of course I couldn’t get the deposit back;;; If you don’t want to raise the line with double-line excision, make absolutely sure to ask. Whether they will excise the existing scar line or leave the existing line behind.
