Before and after <day 5> After <week 1> After <week 3> After <month 1> After <month 3> After <month 6> The reason I decided to have surgery was that after quitting my job, I was thinking about what to do, and I remembered how I was always busy Photoshopping my face shape after taking selfies, so I thought, should I get facial contouring surgery..? Then I started looking up reviews and ended up having the surgery lol!
I found Cookie through a plastic surgery app, and there were a lot of recommendation posts. They were said to be famous for the doll-like line I wanted, so I went for a consultation. Overall, I liked the consultation the most too, so I had surgery at Cookie! I went to consultations at 3 places.
On the first day, I was so swollen that I absolutely couldn’t tell anything about the line. My whole face size became twice as big because of the swelling, so I was shocked.
Only around day 5 did I feel like my cheekbones had gotten smaller. It was just like, “Oh, the unevenness is definitely gone?”
Until one week, I was definitely very swollen, and I naturally ended up dieting, so I looked forward to how I’d look after the swelling went down. The director told me the surgery went well.
Around week 3, after removing the stitches inside my mouth, the major swelling was gradually going down, and overall, my face size noticeably started to look smaller. I was so happy that I could take off my mask and go for walks. But I still slightly felt like someone was pecking at my lower jaw? I think it was the feeling of the scar healing..?
Until month 1, I walked every day and kept drinking pumpkin juice because they say it’s good for swelling. I felt the tight pulling in my jaw loosening little by little. There was still a lot of swelling, so it seemed the same as before surgery, but I liked that it was noticeable that my face size had reduced. They say time is the medicine for facial contouring, so I worked hard on swelling care.
Entering month 3, when I compared photos from the previous week and the week before that, the change was really noticeable. My cheekbones originally weren’t severe, so they didn’t look that big because of swelling, but people around me all said my overall face got smaller, and I could also feel that my lower jaw had definitely reduced a lot. Still, not all the residual swelling was gone.
After about half a year, I became friendly with the regular camera, and the time I spend Photoshopping decreased to one-fifth. Even when taking photos with the rear camera, maybe because the facial asymmetry was corrected to some extent, I don’t get shocking photos anymore. My face is smaller too, and it’s an advantage that I can wear various clothes with better proportions lol! Of course, since I also combined it with diet and exercise, the sagging under-chin fat seems much less. My self-esteem is rising a lot, and my own satisfaction is really high.
