I had previously gone to ㄱㅎㅈ for deep cheek fat removal, so I went to ㄱㅎㅈ.
I had sedation anesthesia and under-eye fat repositioning. Normally I don’t swell or bruise at all, and even when I had double eyelid surgery with full incision + ptosis correction, if I didn’t say anything, no one could tell. My body suits cosmetic surgery, so I took two days of annual leave and rested Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday like thatㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I had it done on Thursday. They said it varies by person, but bloody tears can come out for a few days, and that warm compresses aren’t needed, only cold compresses. Bloody tears came out from only one side on the day itself, just a tiny bit? From the next day onward I was completely fine, so even now nobody would know unless I told them.
First of all, I expected a dramatic effect, but it wasn’t as much as I thought. But the hospital also said it’s not something that brightens the under-eye area, but rather something to think of as making it flat. They also said dark circles that are already pigmented cannot go back.
My pigmentation is severe, so even after doing it, the dark circles remain, but still, somehow my impression?.. did improve. I thought after under-eye fat repositioning they would do fat grafting under the eyes, but they said that’s not what they do, and that fat grafting is done right below the under-eye area?.. that part. The under-eye area becomes flat. But if there’s a downside, after doing this, the eye wrinkles get deeper,,, makeup also creases a lot. But this was something they explained before surgery, and I already had quite a lot of eye wrinkles, so I took that into account. For reference, the repositioning alone cost 880,000 won, and since I also did facial fat grafting while I was at it, the total came out higher. I only wrote the cost of the fat repositioning.
If you look at the photos, when you see the side view before surgery, the bulging part looks more organized and flat after surgery. Recovery for me was almost done in just a few days, so it wasn’t noticeable, but for ordinary people I think it may take a bit. You probably need to rest for a week? And except for the surgery-day visit, there’s no need for a revisit. They do the fat grafting not directly under the eye in the dark-circle area, but right below the dark-circle area. I still have the second round of fat grafting left, so I need to go once more in early summer. I’ll post again then~
