But the lines were different on both sides and faint (When I was tired, the right side almost disappeared + an extra crease formed) So I got incisional double eyelid surgery and lateral/lower canthoplasty!!
I went to 6 consultations, and 2 places said it would be better not to do it, and people around me even told me to just live with it because my case was that borderline.. Most opinions were like, just leave it alone rather than risking something going wrong and ruining it..!! They said creating a new double eyelid line would be a difficult surgery
But I was stressed about my eyes in my own way, so I couldn’t give up.. I made a list mainly of doctors who were mentioned as being good with difficult eyes, went around for in-person consultations, and found a place I really liked, so I got it done there!!
From the start, I completely ruled out non-incisional buried sutures or natural adhesion and went to consultations, and the doctor also said during the consultation that incisional surgery would be better, so I just said okay!! They really set the line many times with slightly different shapes, and maybe because I’m not that detail-oriented, when they adjusted the height very subtly, I felt like I couldn’t really tell the height difference, but the feeling changed little by little, so I realized once again that it’s really important to get a thorough consultation for double eyelid surgery..
The impression I wanted was something a bit more open and defined, but also with a natural, pretty look when smiling.. that kind of feeling (you know what I mean??) So while I was at it, I decided to do lateral/lower canthoplasty too!! Thankfully, they said there was enough room to open it up, so I was like, this is totally lucky, lucky me?? and went for it!!!
Even after surgery, I looked at so many incisional double eyelid reviews, and it seemed like most people had obviously severe swelling, so I was a liiittle worried... but I didn’t have major swelling like I feared!! After 2 weeks, the swelling started going down dramatically, which was fascinating. Even up to 2 weeks, the swelling wasn’t so bad that daily life was very difficult, and now it’s slowly getting close to 2 months, and there’s almost no swelling~~
I’m such a scaredy-cat that I couldn’t even sleep because I was worried until right before the surgery, but the surgery gave me a line that suits me perfectly, so I’m happy~~!!! Everyone looking into surgery too, I hope you work hard going to consultations and succeed...!! Fighting
