My nostrils were asymmetrical on both sides, so they reduced them by 3 mm and 4 mm. My nose wasn’t very big, so I was worried it would be noticeable, but absolutely no one noticed, and now I sometimes forget about it too.
They suggested doing a procedure to tie the nasal sill together as well, but a quick recovery was essential, so I only went ahead with the reduction. I think it would have been fine even if I had done it, though.
The only surgery I’d had before was double eyelid surgery, but recovery was faster than I expected, even faster than incisional double eyelid surgery, so looking back, it somehow feels like it was a light cosmetic procedure? I think I was scared for no reason.
I was in my late 30s, so while my nostril wings became smaller, my nasolabial folds look slightly more pronounced and my philtrum feels relatively a little longer. Of course, it’s subtle enough that no one else would notice, but it’s a difference only I feel.
Even if I went back, I’d do it again lol
