When choosing a hospital, I tend to trust someone who honestly talks about the limitations, someone who keeps studying, and someone who talks about how to perform the procedure properly (for example, how if you hold the head upside down while doing Shurink, the bubbles can prevent it from working efficiently..). It is expensive for Shurink, but I saw those aspects on YouTube, so I went there.
Maybe because the hospital is inside a hotel, it seemed like the most luxurious place I’ve been to so far. The consultant wasn’t that kind. She answered when I asked questions, but the parts I was really curious about didn’t get resolved. Since she did answer, it also felt awkward to ask again... I can’t pinpoint it exactly, but there was something uncomfortable about dealing with her.
Still, the doctor was kind, and it was nice that I could have a proper consultation with the doctor rather than only with the consultant.
The doctor seemed to have the mindset that what you do is your own choice; if it bothers you, you do it, and if it doesn’t, you don’t. So if you want someone charismatic who actively points out, “It would be good to do this, this, and this,” this may not be a good fit. Separately, there was an ointment I wanted to try, so I mentioned it, and even though it wasn’t an ointment this hospital usually prescribes, they prescribed it readily, which was convenient..
I mainly had the procedure around the lower jaw, and I think I saw a bit of an effect. Since it was 300 shots, it didn’t feel dramatically noticeable, but it also didn’t feel like there was no effect at all. I plan to revisit when I get a procedure that needs a lot of rambling discussion and a lot of customization.
