Before <before surgery> Before <before surgery> After <day of surgery> After <one week> After <one month> About 10 years ago, I had in-out partial-incision double eyelid surgery at ㅇㅈ in Gangnam, and it came undone, so I got revision surgery (incisional) + under-eye fat repositioning from Director ㅇㅎㅂ at ㅇㅇㅌ in Apgujeong! Before surgery, I went to consultations at about 3 places, and I liked the line Director ㅇㅎㅂ made the most, so I decided on this place. The director and the consultant were really really really kinder than at other places!!
When I went for the revision consultation, I wasn’t thinking of getting under-eye fat repositioning.. but Consultant Chae took one look at me and said she thought under-eye fat repositioning would be really good for me (She didn’t pressure me, she just said she recommended it!) I’d vaguely thought I wanted it too while seeing celebrities who had under-eye fat repositioning (lower blepharoplasty) surgery.. But I’d seen many reviews saying under-eye fat repositioning swells more than expected and is hard afterward, so I had only been thinking about it
Since I’d be under anesthesia and having surgery anyway, I thought I might as well do it together, so on the day of the revision surgery I asked if under-eye fat repositioning could be done too. They said under-eye fat repositioning is a simple surgery and could be done together, so I got it done together! (The surgery may be simple, but the aftercare was not simple~~~)
Maybe because of the revision surgery + under-eye fat repositioning, from the day of surgery my eyes swelled a lot, and it was very hard to open them Still, my friends said they were very swollen but the line looked so pretty, and I liked the line too, so I just waited for the swelling to go down quickly Up until then everything was good..
Because I had under-eye fat repositioning, when I woke up my eyes wouldn’t open because of eye discharge On days 4, 7, and 13 after surgery, I also had bloody tears, and the area around my eyes had no sensation, so it was a bit uncomfortable. But now the sensation has almost returned, and after 2 weeks the bloody tears stopped!
The problem was that as the swelling gradually went down, the inner corner of my left eye looked a little strange.. Sure enough, when I went to have the stitches removed, the director said he could feel something hard at the inner corner of my left eye, and that it was scar tissue.. Because of the scar tissue, the line at the inner corner looks strange, but scar tissue needs to be watched for about two months, so he said if it’s still there after two months, he would give a scar-tissue injection or re-suture only the front part..
From then on, I lived looking in the mirror dozens of times a day... Probably more times than I’ve looked in the mirror in my whole life.. I searched the internet and YouTube so much too, and one director on YouTube said you really can’t know whether scar tissue will form. He said that in cases where scar tissue forms at the inner corner of the eye like this, if someone usually has allergies and rubs their eyes often, the skin at the front of the eye can thicken and this sometimes happens.. But of all things, the day before surgery my left eye was itchy, swollen, and in bad condition because of allergies.. I wonder if it was because of that.. I don’t know the reason, but everyone, don’t rub your eyes normally...
Time passed, and today I went for my one-month follow-up! I literally touch the inner corners of my eyes and look in the mirror every single day, and the scar tissue has decreased a lot compared with before! Because of the scar tissue, the line still looks like two lines, but it has clearly gotten better than before I hope the scar tissue disappears naturally like this The director said we need to watch it for about two months, so I’m going back for another follow-up next month, and I’ll bring another review then!
I’m leaving this because there aren’t as many reviews like mine about scar tissue + under-eye fat repositioning as I expected For under-eye fat repositioning, I don’t have a side-profile photo, so it’s hard to compare much.. but I’m satisfied! From the side, it definitely looks flat, and the protruding fat no longer shows But that line under the eyes that looks like dark circles? They said that’s muscle, so to get rid of it, I’d need lower blepharoplasty? I thought that if I got under-eye fat repositioning, that would naturally disappear too, but it didn’t I was born this way, so what can I do..~ If anyone is thinking like me and planning to get under-eye fat repositioning, I hope this helps!
