Before-before-after-after-after* 1st: my usual double eyelid line * 2nd: the double eyelid formed high, so I used double eyelid tape on my left eye * 3rd: my current eyes! * 4th: if you look closely, they’re uneven, sigh.. * 5th: 1-month photo
I originally had eyes with deep double eyelids, but I was stressed because two lines would form at the inner corners of my eyes, so I got double eyelid surgery. Everyone tried to stop me, saying they were pretty and why would I do it, and that they looked so charming as they were, but the Mongolian folds that only I knew about stressed me out so much. Because of this, my double eyelid line changed every day, my double eyelids became uneven, and I felt like my double eyelids would disappear as I got older! At first I was just going to have one side fixed more deeply, but then I thought, while I’m at it, let’s transform them into the double eyelids I want! So I had natural adhesion + upper epicanthoplasty. I added upper epicanthoplasty because, due to the Mongolian folds, the front of my eyes felt blocked, and I wanted it opened so the line would become one line. The surgery result is currently at 1 month!! A lot of the swelling has gone down, right?! In the photo, I’m thinking the left side is because of swelling, but when I close my eyes, the line that forms between two stitch points in the middle is slightly disconnected, sigh... The heights on both sides are slightly different, and the starting points at the inner corners became in-out/semi-out. Especially since I brought in a semi-out photo of myself and asked for this kind of feel, with the inner eye line parallel to my lash line, but that area was set a bit thick and round, which is annoying.. I like the inner corner to be thin.. I’m living with the thought that if you gain something, you lose something, and compared to the stress I had from the Mongolian folds, I don’t think it’s a loss.
What’s funny is that maybe because my line originally changed back and forth and was deep, whenever I meet people after a long time and say I got double eyelid surgery, they go, huh? and say it doesn’t look like I did.
The space between my eyes and eyebrows is narrow, so during consultations all the doctors said it would look heavy if I fixed the line higher than the highest line my natural double eyelid formed. (The current line was already the height I had in mind) So I fixed it at the current line, but unlike the natural line, maybe because the fixation feels deep, the distance looks even closer, so my impression became stronger and my eyes look even more intense, so these days I’m hearing a ton that I look like a foreigner again.
When I take photos, they come out really well, so I’m satisfied!! They’re like the doll-like eyes I wanted? + my eyelashes are lifted, so eyelash curling takes really well, which I love. It’s a bit annoying that they’re uneven.... but it doesn’t show in photos, which makes me mad.. If I open my eyes half-lidded like in the photo, the unevenness isn’t very noticeable. My left side has less opening strength and also had more Mongolian fold, so I’m letting it go thinking people can’t be perfect.. I’ll ask at my 3-month follow-up. I wondered, could they become prettier than my original eyes? But they really did become prettier, so it’s fascinating. My favorite eyes were the semi-out ones with double eyelid tape
Ah. I brought a semi-out photo, but I only said I wanted that kind of feel and told them more than 3 times that I wanted an opened in-out line! I heard too often that I looked Southeast Asian to Arab, so I didn’t want to hear it even more after doing semi-out.. 큐 The surgery result ended up with uneven lines though..
If it had really gone well, I’d recommend it a ton, but I had a medical accident and it was really hard, and I was so dissatisfied with the hospital’s response and system, so I don’t recommend it!!! For your sake. I don’t want to tell you. I have a whole basket of curse words, but I’m really holding back..
