It has already been six months since my rhinoplasty. Before surgery, what bothered me most was that my nose looked short and had a bulbous, blunt tip. It was my biggest personal insecurity. As a man, I didn’t want a nose that was too high or overly glamorous. I wanted the bulbous look clearly reduced, while still looking natural, suited to my face, and slightly refined… haha. After much deliberation, I had the surgery.
Now that about six months have passed, I’m so satisfied that I wonder why I didn’t do it sooner lol. I feel that even more when I occasionally look at photos from before surgery. I especially like that the old bulbous impression has faded and the nose that looked short has clearly improved. From the front, the tip used to look spread out, but now it looks much slimmer and more refined.
During the first few months, the shape looked slightly different depending on the angle or lighting, so I sometimes wondered whether it was the final shape. After about six months, I feel I’ve almost adjusted to it. Before surgery, I wondered how much changing just the nose could alter my overall impression, but the difference was larger than expected. It still doesn’t look so obvious that people immediately think I had surgery, which I also like.
I’m planning to visit soon for my final six-month follow-up, check the current condition of my nose one last time, and ask about various things I was curious about. Time really flies when I think this is already the final follow-up haha.
It still needs more observation, but so far I’m satisfied because the areas that stressed me out due to my bulbous and short nose have improved a lot. The only thing that bothers me slightly is that the nostril balance seems a little uneven I’ll ask about this at the final follow-up.
That’s my six-month review.
