I have somewhat full upper eyelids, so my eyes looked slightly puffy and sleepy. Since it was my first double-eyelid surgery, I deliberated a lot. I felt that a very prominent or obvious crease would be burdensome, so I looked into an inner double eyelid. During the consultation, I thought it would be good to reduce the upper-eyelid fat as well, so I decided to do them together. I worried that the crease might look too obvious after surgery, but I was happy that they created it in the natural direction I wanted. Right after surgery there was swelling and it felt awkward, but as it gradually subsided, my eyes looked neater than before. My upper eyelids also look less thick, and the overall impression when I open my eyes feels more refined. I wanted to improve only the stuffy-looking aspects of my original eyes rather than make a dramatic change, and I am satisfied in that respect.
