People around me tried to stop me, saying not to touch my nose unless it was a real complex or a functional problem, but my nasal asymmetry was severe, and in photos it looked flat, so I hated that I kept photoshopping it. I thought about getting nose surgery for about 3-4 years while working, then I quit my job this time and felt like if I didn’t do it now, I wouldn’t be able to, so even though I live in Busan, I went all the way to Gangnam, Seoul and had it done! I had a low nose with basically no nasal bridge, and I didn’t even know it, but when they touched it, they said I also had a slight hump, so they would shave the hump down and use 6 mm silicone. Before surgery I was so worried that 6 mm might be too much, and since the splint hasn’t been removed yet I don’t know the line, but the height doesn’t seem excessive and I think I’m satisfied. Once the swelling goes down from here, it’ll settle more, but as expected, I think the specialist’s judgment was right.
Day 1, because of the anesthesia, it didn’t hurt and only my throat stung. Day 2, my face started swelling up a lot, throat still stung. Today is day 3 and the swelling is at its max lol, to the point where I can’t open my eyes. I had the nasal packing removed, and I’m wondering if it’s normal to swell this much, so I’m looking up every nose surgery vlog on YouTube ㅠㅠ lol
I want to upload photos, but my face looks too awful, so I can’t. I’ll try uploading once the swelling goes down a bit!
