Current eye condition: not-severe sausage eyes + first incisional surgery with a semi-out double eyelid line
Clinic 1, Sinsa, G** Clinic (B) - Both the doctor and consultant were kind, and the clinic was clean. They showed me sausage-eye cases and recommended double-line excision, but they didn’t explain the risks of double-line excision or anything like that.
Clinic 2, Gangnam, O** (G) - A private clinic famous for semi-out lines and revision surgery. They emphasized the risks of double-line excision and said that since I have enough skin, we should do micro-excision + recommended ptosis correction. They didn’t explain the risks of micro-excision. Also, the doctor was cynical, so I couldn’t ask in more detail,, But in terms of aftercare, the fact that the doctor personally checks everything seems like a big advantage. But the reviews in this community are split half and half, so I’m still debating,,,
Clinic 3, Gangnam, D** (H) - There were a lot of people, and the consultant was unfriendly. The consultant tried drawing the line herself, which was a bit flustering. After waiting about 20 minutes, I met the doctor, and the doctor advised against revision surgery. They only briefly explained the reason and related points and said they didn’t recommend it, so I was a bit flustered. It was hard to judge whether they were being honest or lacked confidence.
Clinic 4, Gangnam, O** (D) - Waiting time was 3 hours,,, Even after seeing the consultant, I waited endlessly. The consultant was kind, but the reception staff were unfriendly. I met the doctor, and they spoke honestly and clearly. They also talked about possible side effects. When I said I was debating between double-line excision and excision, they said they would make an incision along a new line, precisely release the adhesions, then decide whether to excise or not. They said it’s hard to judge in my current state + said ptosis correction would probably be okay if done just slightly, and that it’s optional. (It seems less because my skin surplus is ambiguous and more just this clinic’s surgical style.) I felt positive about the detailed explanation, but I’m anxious because of the endless waiting, the extremely busy doctor, the large hospital setting, and the fact that the consultant and nurses handle aftercare.
Since it’s revision surgery, success matters more than price... I still haven’t decided between double-line excision or excision, and I’m still debating the clinic too, so I added consultations at OHS, TOS, and GN. I desperately need opinions from people who know good places for lowering the line + semi-out double eyelids, and from people who have had the surgery. Brokers seriously make me angry, so don’t come here.
