It already feels like it’s been about 1 year? since the surgery And 2 years since my first surgery failed, sigh.. Anyway, double eyelid surgery is such a common surgery, so I just looked into it roughly and got it done, and that was a very foolish choice. They said I had a lot of fat on my upper eyelids, so I had incisional surgery, but I don’t know what the problem was.. the swelling just wouldn’t go down When I looked it up, this was the so-called sausage eyes I’d only heard about.. a side effect.. You think it won’t happen to you, right? I thought that too.. Even if you have sausage eyes, you can’t just get revision surgery right away; they say it has to be done after things stabilize to some extent for it to succeed. So I lived with ruined eyes for a year and went through so much emotional distress. I hated seeing people,,, hated making eye contact... During that time, I think I was so stressed wondering what on earth was wrong with my eyes.. So what I started looking into was whether it might be better to go somewhere that specializes more in eyes. It’s not that a clinic that does many different surgeries can’t do certain procedures, but I think I wanted to find a doctor who would focus solely on my ruined eyes. From then on, I looked into private clinics, eye-specialized clinics.. places like that, and went around for consultations, and I had surgery at the place I liked the most. The result is total satisfaction.
I understand why people go out of their way to private clinics even when there are large hospitals that are cheap and do lots of surgeries. The level of focus and care they gave me was completely different.. and the surgical result was good too. They said this place only does 3 surgeries a day. It’s best to succeed with your first surgery, but for everyone struggling with revision surgery like me.. try looking for a specialized clinic.
