To start with the conclusion, it’s been a little over 1 month since I had two functional procedures (deviated septum, inferior turbinate hypertrophy) and cosmetic rhinoplasty, and I’m satisfied myself, but people around me are making such a fuss too It even makes me think I worried for nothing for so long.
Before surgery, my original nose was low, the tip was blunt, and even the bridge was wide, so it became a complex, and I think that’s why I decided I definitely needed nose surgery. So I thought it would be perfect if I did functional nose surgery together while I was at it and could also compromise on the cost. It came out lower than the budget I expected (With the refund, even more so. I think I got around 90% back. I’ll tell you the detailed cost in a private comment.)

Actually, the director told me in advance that if my septal cartilage was weak, there was a possibility of adding donated costal cartilage, so I just thought, I guess that could happen.. and went into surgery. But after it was over, I was a bit surprised when they said the surgery was completed using only septal cartilage without adding donated costal cartilage Even with the splint on, there was height, so I thought donated costal cartilage had been used. Especially when seen from the front, my nasal tip was broad and the nose itself didn’t look contoured, so my whole face looked flat, and of course,,, I also really hated that my nose looked long.
After rhinoplasty, I think I really got the frontal effect. I especially like that the columella looks appropriately shaped from every angle
Ah, as I said earlier, my thick nasal bridge was a complex, so I also had osteotomy. This is shaving/cutting the bone to make the nasal bridge slimmer, and since it is bone surgery, I did sometimes feel throbbing pain.
But the funny thing is that having the cotton packing in was harder than that It was surprisingly stuffy, so I definitely recommend using a humidifier.. I brought a big humidifier from my family home and used it in my small studio apartment. It was inconvenient that the room got cramped, but I used it really well. However, people using mini humidifiers should place them right next to the bed and be careful not to accidentally knock them over and spill water. That way, you’ll probably feel the effect? When moisture is maintained well indoors, my mouth dried out less
Right after surgery, it may feel stuffy and uncomfortable because of the subtle swelling, but make sure to eat well, manage your stamina properly (after all, it’s a major surgery involving anesthesia), and go out for walks consistently. When I stayed home all the time, I kept looking in the mirror and ended up worrying more than expected.. I couldn’t tell just from the splint line whether it went well.. I felt anxious.
But once the early period passes, you’ll be able to take off the splint and see a good result, so while you’re at home, I hope you spend each day enjoying enough rest.
