<Before><Before><After><After><After>Hello~! I had protruding mouth bimaxillary surgery, plus cheekbone reduction, square jaw reduction, and chin surgery at an oral and maxillofacial clinic on November 9, 2023, and now it has been 6 months~~!
Personally, ever since elementary school I had heard many comments like my mouth protruded, my lips were thick, and so on, so I had a strong complex After becoming an adult, I saved a lot of money to pay for surgery! Once I had saved the surgery fee, I wanted to spend the rest of my life with a prettier face while I was even one year younger, and as the COVID era was ending I felt impatient, so I decided to have surgery during my vacation!
Now, 6 months later, I can chew and eat most things. Because I had protruding mouth surgery, using my front teeth was slower to recover, but it has come back enough that I can cut noodles with my front teeth. However, I am still adjusting my bite with orthodontic treatment, so it does not cut cleanly like before I want to eat things like hamburgers or chicken feet freely with my front teeth, but I can’t, so I feel upset
What I am most satisfied with after surgery is that I no longer feel self-conscious about my side profile, which had stressed me out the most. When someone took photos of me, I mostly had them take photos from behind, but now I can take photos naturally without worrying, so I am really happy about that. They say protruding mouth can also be corrected with orthodontics, but if the gum bone itself protrudes or if your case is severe like mine, I recommend considering surgery. And I also had facial contouring done together. At first I did it because I wanted to become prettier, but early on I did not see a noticeable effect, so I wondered if I had shaved bone for nothing. But my face definitely became smaller. My square jaw was not extremely severe originally, but it especially became slimmer, so I am more satisfied with the surgery than I expected! My self-esteem has definitely risen, I have more confidence, and now I dress up more, which is a problem haha If you are truly a case like mine, I definitely recommend it!!
