Before/after Ta-da - the long-awaited 1-month review! Actually, it has been a month and a few days haha. Maybe my swelling went down quickly, but even when I went to the hospital for a follow-up at week 2, there was already no major issue with daily life, and almost all the bruising had gone away. I waited desperately for a month, hoping the swelling would go down more.
Actually, when it hit exactly 1 month, it did seem like the lines had been refined, but it had not slimmed down as dramatically as I had imagined (bone-thin arms), so I think I felt a bit disappointed, like, 'Is it stopping here..?' I thought the 1-month mark would more or less be the final arm shape. On the morning of my 1-month aftercare visit, I asked the director who came to check my progress, 'Will it get slimmer..?' and he said, 'Hmm.. most of the swelling has gone down to some extent, but it is still only 1 month, so once the hardened areas loosen up, it should get thinner.' I interpreted that however I wanted as, 'Yep! Sorry, but all your swelling is gone~ now it will probably only be some line refinement,' so I was a bit sad (Meanwhile, because he did not blindly say it would absolutely get slimmer no matter what, my trust in the director actually went up.)
And on the way home, I suspiciously thought, 'Ha. Did they not remove enough fat?' and looked up my pre-op photos, but there was definitely more fat than now^^... so I told myself to have some conscience~ and accepted it again. Maybe because the swelling went down gradually, I could not remember my original arms and completely mistook my current arms for the arms I was born with. The frog had forgotten its tadpole days...
Then I was just living like, whatever, but what is really funny is that after a few more days past the 1-month mark, they got thinner again, so now I am excited again. I thought loosening the hardened areas would not make much difference, but maybe the effect of that is big? Anyway, I do not know if it is because of the aftercare I received at that disappointing 1-month mark, but I got motivated again, had my compression garment altered smaller, and finally started dieting because I want to see even more results for the remaining month~!
