I had a hard time booking consultations for Saturday and went to both ㅂㄷㄴ and ㅋㅂㅈ. First, since I wanted rhinitis surgery and it would be a case combined with cosmetic surgery, I mainly chose clinics that can do both functional + cosmetic surgery and where the doctor is an ENT specialist. Still, in case it helps, I’ll write about my nose shape too. Nose situation: low glabella, low nasal bridge, a very slight hump, drooping nasal tip, slight deviated septum. For reference, neither place pressured me to book. Because I was afraid of side effects, I was hoping for no implant, so the reason I visited these two places was that they are known for pursuing natural results. First of all, both places have one director, and both are highly knowledgeable specialists in the nose field.
ㅂㄷㄴ - They checked the inside of my nose with a CT scan, and said my rhinitis symptoms and septal deviation were not as severe as I had thought, so I personally started reconsidering whether to proceed with surgery. The director was honest, saying that functionally, I didn’t absolutely need to do it, and if I wanted it cosmetically, then I could have surgery. There was no overtreatment either. They said the change would be mainly in the nasal tip rather than the bridge, and said they would use septal cartilage + ear cartilage (if there is not enough septal cartilage). If I were to have surgery, they recommended a chin implant or chin filler to match my facial harmony. / AS period 2 years, estimate 4 million
ㅋㅂㅈ - Since I had taken a CT and had a consultation at the previous clinic, they didn’t take separate photos or a CT here. So the consultation with the director was not very long. I heard the director shows the changed nose in advance with Photoshop, and I also got simulation surgery and saw it. I guess the directors’ thoughts are all similar. Looking at my nose, they gave a diagnosis similar to the consultation at the previous clinic. Here too, they mainly talked about the nasal tip, and said they would use septal cartilage + ear cartilage (if there is not enough septal cartilage). However, the differences from the previous clinic were that they said they would do osteotomy to make it slimmer, and put ear fascia in the glabella to raise it by about 1 mm. / AS period 3 years, estimate 4.8 million (4.3 million if booking the same day)
Both are famous places, so aside from being torn about which to choose, since there doesn’t seem to be a big issue with the rhinitis part I was worried about, I’m also wondering whether I should even get nose surgery. If they harvest ear cartilage, there will be a mark, and if they make an incision, an incision line will remain, so I’m worried I might be making trouble for myself.
