I had surgery last August at a plastic surgery clinic using silicone + septal cartilage + ear cartilage, and as in the first photo, they had excessively lengthened my nose (they harvested septal cartilage and used it for extension), so my nasal tip became twisted to one side. The hospital where I had the surgery said it was a difference only I could notice.. but on one side I couldn’t feel it with my hand, while on the other side I could, and it was twisted to that extent. They said they would do revision surgery, but told me I had to cover the surgery cost myself. Even 1.5 million won felt like a waste, so I spent whole days for several weeks looking into other hospitals for complete removal, and I completed the full removal this June. The second photo is after complete removal. The third photo is my natural nose before rhinoplasty.
>>>>Of course, compared with when I had my natural nose, there is still more foreign-body sensation and discomfort, but after the first surgery my nasal tip felt pulled and painful, and now I’m so happy to be free from the anxiety about silicone foreign material. My septal cartilage had been removed, and since my nose is originally very small, I asked them to reconstruct it sturdily so that I would never have to open my nose again.. So the fact that there is some foreign-body sensation is just on me.. It turned out much prettier than my natural nose.. (The director who did the removal told me the previous surgery had made three layers and two layers differently on the left and right sides. Seriously, how did they even operate like that..) I lived with anxiety and stress for several months, but now I even feel a sense of release.. It was less than a full year, but while coming in and out of this community, I realized a lot. Everyone, if you are considering plastic surgery, please really research it well, do only the minimum and only what you truly want to change, and if you have already had surgery and are experiencing side effects, please don’t stay tied down to the hospital that failed your surgery anymore. I hope you find a hospital that is truly skilled. The head director is very good at surgery and uses only a small amount of anesthesia (to prevent not waking up), and is a doctor who prioritizes safety. I can’t recommend it unconditionally (plastic surgery always comes with the possibility of side effects), but for complete removal, natural-looking plastic surgery, and reconstructive purposes, I strongly recommend it. That saying turned out to be true. Only people who failed at plastic surgery come in and out of communities, writing posts like this or spending time reading posts. I hadn’t come in for a while, but I remembered the time that passed, so I’m leaving this here. It has only been 2 weeks, but I am very satisfied. They explained things well, and maybe because I didn’t have major side effects, the price was the cheapest among several hospitals. Of course, apart from the price, I would have chosen this hospital anyway, so it was a win-win. Thank you to the head director of the plastic surgery clinic. I hope your clinic prospers. (The head director really feels like some university professor.. A bit like a philosopher.. He keeps a model next to him and tries to explain things in a very detailed and easy-to-understand way. I was also very satisfied with the aftercare. Since I live outside the city, the timing was a bit difficult, but he scolded me like I was his daughter, saying I shouldn’t skip visits like this and that I hadn’t done enough ice massage. When I lost my card and was sitting down in front of the hospital, he asked me what had happened, and the people working at the hospital are all so kind too. Even if you don’t have surgery here, I recommend at least getting a consultation once. They point out the problems so well, so even just learning that much is worthwhile, right?)
Thank you for reading. I hope everyone becomes prettier and happier.
