I’m from Daegu and have been doing online research and in-person consultations for liposuction. The clinics that were recommended were mainly ㅅㅈ, ㄷㅌㅍ, and ㅍㄼ, so I visited those three. I wasn’t recommended this one, but it is still a fairly large clinic and advertises a lot, so I added one more: ㅌㅇㅌ. I visited a total of 4 places and will write a short review.
Clinic: ㄷㅌㅍ Consultant: Director Consultation fee: 10,000 won Consultation details: Sometimes when I look at other cafes, many people openly write reviews with this clinic’s name disclosed. It was recommended a lot, and quite a lot came up when searching Daegu, so I went with expectations. To be honest, from the walkway going in to the moment I finished the consultation and came out, something did not feel refreshing.. In conclusion, as soon as I came out after the consultation, I decided right away that I should pass on this place. If you are curious about details, leave a private comment.
2nd ㅍㄼ Consultation manager + head director Consultation fee free When I called to make a reservation, the director called me right away and gave me a consultation over the phone first. I think we talked for about 30 minutes.. And when I visited, they were kind, and there were quite a lot of foreign patients. They also do skin treatments, and actual thread lifting procedure videos were just playing openly in the lobby. At first the consultant asked various questions and recommended it saying they had done it too, then the director came in. There was an ultrasound device next to them, but they did not check with ultrasound. The price was very expensive at first, but when I said it was expensive, they told me the discounted price. Aftercare costs were separate. When I was leaving, they told me to pay the consultation fee, so I said the director said there was none, and they just told me to go. I decided to think about it.
3rd ㅅㅈ Consultation manager + head director Consultation fee free Reservation was easy through Naver Reservation. I canceled to change it, and when I had a question and messaged the website KakaoTalk, the answer came quickly. I visited, and it was seriously cooler than a bank... that was my first impression lolololol And the interior, facilities, staff uniforms? guidance? anyway, etc. Overall, in Daegu, I don’t think any liposuction clinic can beat this place for cleanliness and kindness. Maybe because it is a nationwide chain, the kindness was seriously insane. If you sit and wait, you get a bit gaslit about liposuction; there are tons of promotional videos and before-and-after photos. The consultation with the manager was quite long, about 30 minutes. They checked the pinch test extremely carefully. Then I was connected right away to the head director, had the medical consultation, and they even checked with ultrasound. They also did some test for whether I was suitable or unsuitable for liposuction. But like ㅍㄼ, this place is also on the pricier side. Instead, 6 aftercare sessions are free. I came out saying I would think about it, thinking, if only it were not so expensive, I would do it here.. No consultation fee or examination fee.
4th ㅌㅇㅌ Consultation manager + head director (there were two, but it was not the person from the elevator ad) Consultation fee 5,000 won (free if you decide on surgery the same day) I visited by reservation, and it seemed like they were using one floor in a big building. I went in, but there were no customers at all, so it was too quiet.. awkward for no reason... If you sit in the consultation room, they give you a drink and snacks. They explain changing clothes, and the consultation manager puts up a PPT and explains all sorts of things a lot (ㅍㄼ also used a PPT for consultation). I listened for about 20 minutes, and since I had come during my lunch break, I showed I was a bit busy, so they moved through the PPT quickly. I moved to the director’s room, and did they look at my body for literally 1 second..? They slightly lifted the gown and looked front and back. No ultrasound exam, no pinch test. To the point that I wondered if they could know anything by looking like that.. They just lifted the clothes, looked, and that was it. They said the front and back have to be done separately, and I was told that was why the surgery fee was expensive. It felt like the examination and medical consultation were not being done properly, so like ㄷㅌㅍ, I went home feeling a bit uneasy again.. They took 5,000 won when I left, and that was it.

ㅍㄼ gives a discount, but ㅅㅈ has no discount. I get the feeling that depending on the consultant’s discretion, they might add Botox or something like that.
Even if expensive, I think the places where the examination was extremely thorough ended up 1st and 2nd. I care quite a lot about cleanliness.. As for reviews, people say there are many brokers and also many real reviews, but honestly I am not good at distinguishing them, and I wanted to trust more what I saw with my own eyes, so while researching online I ended up visiting all of them. For now, I think my heart leans more toward places that are clean and aim for safety measures? safe surgery?
