Um, I wasn’t particularly interested in plastic surgery, but after the college entrance exam was over, my mom asked if I wanted to try double eyelid surgery, so I had it done at the hospital where the daughters of people around my mom had gone the most…
I didn’t go around to consultations or anything. I just told the doctor, “Please make it suit my eyes as best as possible,” and that was it.
They also slightly recommended epicanthoplasty, so I said I would do it.. I asked about lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty too, but they honestly told me they didn’t recommend those because they tend to reattach very easily and also look very obvious.
Honestly, since the doctor is famous for double eyelid surgery, the consultation wasn’t exactly friendly… Instead, they honestly told me about side effects and that they tend to do natural-looking surgery, so it could loosen over time..
That part made me trust them, so I decided to have the surgery and set the date…!
At first, it was so swollen that I wondered if it wasn’t good, but it was pretty for exactly 1 year, and then the double eyelid became two layers lol ㅠㅠㅠ I’m just living with it as is… My mom also says I think I’ll need revision surgery…
For people who don’t have fat on their upper eyelids… I think it may be better to consider either making the fixation stronger, or doing it so there’s almost no scarring and then doing it again along the line that forms later.
