Before<surgery before>After<surgery after>After<surgery after>After<surgery after>Looking at my pre-surgery eyes, seriously, my eyes really were ordinary back then.. People with monolids will probably 100% relate, but at that time, no matter how heavily I did my makeup, it barely showed, and especially since lately it’s been trendy to do makeup with false lashes, right? Even when I did that, my eyes actually looked more stuffy, so I felt like that was the limit of monolids.. lol
Honestly, I wanted double eyelid surgery, but I didn’t know where to get it done, and even when I looked at reviews, have you ever felt like every place looked the same? I’m not really someone with a good eye for this either, so I felt like if I just kept looking at reviews, I wouldn’t get surgery within this year. So I asked my friends and coworkers to introduce me to any clinics they knew, and among them, I had a consultation at Marble, which a coworker recommended, and ended up getting surgery there too.
At other places, the consultation was just them marking the double eyelid line a few times and that was it, but here it felt like.. they looked at things in more detail during the consultation? They told me things I didn’t know (the kinds of things I wouldn’t have been able to check from the patient’s perspective), and while explaining things like bone structure, they told me in detail what kind of eyes are suitable for canthoplasty and what results you get if you operate when there isn’t enough spare space.
I might not have understood those things just from hearing them, right? The director asked me from time to time whether I understood, and when we tried setting the line as the semi-out line I wanted.. my eyes just couldn’t handle it at all ^^ so I ended up getting ptosis correction together too.
The conclusion is, because of eyelid fat, I got incisional double eyelid surgery.. and since I was also getting ptosis correction and canthoplasty, I was worried the swelling would get really puffy. But right after surgery, of course there was some swelling, but it wasn’t to the point where I couldn’t go outside, and bruising appeared yellowish, but after a day or two it went away quickly?
I’m originally pretty laid-back.. I only realized that too after my mom said, “Your bruising is all gone now” lol That’s how little I cared about it.. Like that, I barely did any aftercare, but the swelling went down on its own and everything settled into place, so I’m honestly overwhelmingly grateful.. People like me who are born trapped in laziness can’t help it lol
The coworker who recommended ㅁㅂ watched everything from how I looked after surgery to the whole swelling-down process, and seriously said I looked different when she saw me on Monday and different again when she saw me on Friday lol Since it’s not just me but people around me feeling it too, I think that might make it even more reliable information..
Going around for in-person consultations and doing online research are both really important and good, but if you have a friend who knows cosmetic surgery inside out like I did, I think getting a recommendation is good too haha I already bought my coworker coffee and even a meal, but every time I see her, I’m at the point where I keep thanking her lol
