Since it was revision surgery.. I thought carefully and got it done because of the cost, time, and worry about what if it fails again..
The reason I had it done here was that, in my view, there was the least overtreatment. My eyes had already had incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty for the first surgery.. but some clinics even suggested doing both canthoplasties again. (Seriously, go around to lots of clinics.. That way you develop an eye for choosing clinics, which is good)
The director here didn't say anything like that, and said we should bring out the line with an incision? and since the ptosis correction hadn't been done properly, just revise that.
And I liked that the price was more reasonable than I expected (I didn't write the cost here because I don't know if it's okay to write it;; if you're curious, leave a comment and I'll tell you)
The reason I wanted revision surgery was that I had double eyelid surgery about 5 years ago, but starting 2 years ago, the line on the right side gradually came undone.
If you look at the before-revision photos, the right double eyelid is especially more undone, right? It came undone even though it was done by incision.. And even though I had double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction, maybe because I have a lot of eyelid skin, the line was buried inside. So when I told people around me I had double eyelid surgery, most of them were like, huh?
When I took photos, it looked like I had monolids too, so it was stressful. Thinking that I had really wasted my money made me angry(?)
After revision surgery, the line definitely got higher, so now the double eyelid is visible!!! Yay This was taken around one month after surgery, but doesn't it look like eyes from several months later? Or sorry.. Since most of the major swelling had gone down, I thought it looked pretty natural, so I'm posting photos freely~~
Even though I got revision surgery with the same incision method, maybe thanks to the director doing a good job, the swelling was less than after my first surgery.
I didn't even drink the common pumpkin juice to reduce swelling. I tried it during my first surgery, but it had zero effect anyway.. I just wore sunglasses and walked around a bit. I thought that would help blood circulation, and honestly I was bored too..
And since it's revision surgery, I think people will be curious about pain, but for me it wasn't that painful.. Even after the anesthesia wore off, I don't think it hurt much. I don't really remember much numbness either. Just my eyes felt a little heavy? About that much.. It wasn't greatly uncomfortable. But I may just have a naturally calm/tolerant personality? so just take that as reference. It always depends on the person!
I just wanted to scrub-wash my hair, but you can't wash it right after surgery, so I think that was the only uncomfortable thing! I heard a lot of people get it washed at a hair salon, but my mom washed it for me (I sound like a bad daughter,,) And this is obvious, but for about 1-2 weeks after surgery, I slept carefully. I thought it might be bad if it got pressed while sleeping.. For daily life, I just wore sunglasses and did everything I needed to do.
Aside from those two things, I think you can say I was satisfied. Everyone, think it through enough and research carefully so you don't end up needing revision surgery like me..
