I’m 9 months post-op after a facelift. Before surgery, I had tried various procedures, but I didn’t see any clear results, and I wanted to solve the hassle of having to get them again after a few months, so I went ahead with a facelift with a lot of courage and hope. As the doctor said, there is a lot of swelling after surgery, but there is no pain at all. At around 1 month post-op, I was the only one conscious of it; people around me would say my skin looked better, but they didn’t know I had surgery. But the problem is skin tightness and numbness. Even when my skin is moisturized, it feels tight, and if it’s even a little dry, the tightness seems to make my facial expressions look awkward. Even when I touch my face, it doesn’t feel like my own skinㅠ The doctor says people who recover quickly start improving after about 6 months, but that it takes at least around 1 year to clearly get better. Now I have almost no numbness, and it’s not severe, but I only have tightness. I heard this hospital is famous for facelifts, so after a few more months, it should get completely better, right?^^
