Double eyelid surgery: 9th grade in August -> age 20 in June
*What I asked the doctor for A lot of kids had double eyelid surgery in 9th grade, but the ones that looked like sausages placed on their eyes were so unattractive, so I told the doctor to make mine natural so it wouldn’t turn out like that.
*Consultation During the consultation, I first talked with another counselor(?) and then also with the doctor. When I was consulting with the counselor, I said I was thinking about doing my nasal bridge too, and they said if I did epicanthoplasty and then did my nose, my eyes could look too close together, so I only did incisional double eyelid surgery. When consulting with the doctor, I asked if non-incisional suture surgery wouldn’t work, but they said my eyes weren’t suitable for it and even if I did it, it would loosen quickly, so I had incisional surgery.
*After surgery, like in the photos, I ended up with a slightly visible in-out line double eyelid that other people might naturally have. I wanted something natural, but I didn’t want it to be that small… It was when I didn’t know much, so I didn’t properly ask for what I wanted. I didn’t even bring photos.
*Side effects? Scars? It’s not really a side effect, but when I close my eyes, you can tell I had incisional surgery, and when I touch the incised area it feels bumpy.
*Conclusion Looking back after time passed, it was natural, but it left something similar to a scar, and I have a lot of regrets about the surgery. I don’t think I’d go back to this hospital specifically.
