Before <my natural eyes> After <1 month, no makeup> After <1 month, with makeup> I live outside Seoul and didn’t have much time, so I spent 6 months researching through a community, then booked a hospital consultation in one shot, put down the deposit that same day, and had double eyelid surgery a month later. I’m here to write a review because it was a success!!
My natural eyes had acquired inner double eyelids, but later one side came undone, and even that had uneven heights. So I lived with double eyelid tape for 2 years, but my eyelids got irritated and swollen, so I gave up and lived with uneven eyes for another 2 years. Then as time passed, every evening my eyes looked deeply sunken with shadows, and it felt like my upper eyelids were sagging, so that was the first time I thought about double eyelid surgery. I figured I would end up getting it as I got older anyway...
I’m extremely lazy, but I’m sensitive both aesthetically and personality-wise, and I’m the kind of person who thinks slightly lacking is better than overdone. So when researching, I focused on the overall atmosphere of the hospital, whether the director’s surgical approach was not excessive and considered side effects, and whether they communicated well with patients. That’s how I chose the hospital. My mindset was that this double eyelid surgery would be the one and only one in my life haha
Actually, my eyes were slightly sunken, short horizontally, large vertically, and a little close to my eyebrows. I always felt my eyes looked stuffy, so I wanted them to look more open, longer horizontally, and not round. I wanted a height where the line would show just slightly when my eyes were open, so I had a consultation, got the design, and had the double eyelid surgery!!
I always thought my eyes weren’t the type that would become dramatically amazing just from surgery, and I only expected them to improve compared to before... I’m the type who swells easily, so the swelling didn’t go down as quickly as I expected and I worried a lot, but around one month later I really like them. Before, my eyes looked empty, so I looked better with bangs, but now I’m thinking of growing out my bangs and sweeping them back haha
The director also considers functional side effects, so he doesn’t push things too far, and he communicates really well during the design process. He is truly meticulous, and I could feel that he works with responsibility, so I naturally trusted him.. Even though it was my first surgery, I wasn’t nervous at all in the operating room. The line is clean and artistic with no bumpiness, and there is no D-shaped deformity or pulling from the lateral canthoplasty. When I went to get the stitches removed, he came to check on me, and after a month he looked at the results and consulted with me again. He also gave the scar injections very carefully, empathized well, and was kind. It was really successful (the consultant was also very kind, and so were all the hospital staff). I work in the service industry, so I’m sensitive to service.
My eye lines still feel a little puffy, but the swelling will go down more, so I’m going to relax, do eye-opening exercises, and wait. Ah!! After the surgery, I also don’t use my forehead anymore, so the forehead wrinkles only I could see seem to have become lighter. I’ll bring a 3-month review later. Everyone, let’s all succeed.
