I’ve kind of already decided in my heart, but..! I’m not confident in my decision I wanted to hear everyone’s opinions too, so I’m writing this!!! I deliberately left out my own opinion a bit..!! I went around to 3 clinics for consultations, and even when I looked them up beforehand, all three clinics had reaaally different styles, but the consultations were also super different haha
First, what I think about my nose is - Blunt/bulbous nasal tip - I do have some lower nasal bridge, but the bridge between my eyes is really low; it feels like my nose starts a bit lower? - My nose line has no hump and is okay - My midface is on the long side!! Even though my nose is low, my face is long,,,
No. 1 (semi-natural/glam) - I liked the review photos the most out of the three - Septal cartilage + ear cartilage (after opening, donor rib cartilage if needed) + non-incisional alar reduction (recommended) + nasolabial angle correction - They said they’d look at silicone between 3-4 mm and insert it - The director was kind and seemed confident. He seemed more interested in the nasal bridge than the tip. Since my face is on the long side, he said he would make sure it doesn’t look much longer - They took a CT and checked the septal cartilage size; he said it’s not too small to use, but a bit borderline, so they’ll decide whether to add rib cartilage after opening - He was the only one who recommended alar reduction. At first he said I didn’t need it, but then he asked me to smile, and after I smiled he said it spreads especially a lot when I smile, so he recommended the non-incisional method (if he had recommended it from the start, I probably would’ve ruled them out)
No. 2 (semi-natural/glam) - Donor rib cartilage + ear cartilage + nasolabial angle correction - Silicone thinly - The director explained why my nose looks big while measuring it with a ruler, and it made sense - Since my midface is long, he said he’d insert silicone thinly. Rather than the height of the bridge, the nasal tip needs to be raised a lot; this clinic emphasized the tip - He said my septal cartilage is small, so he won’t use it - No need for alar reduction - Among the three, this place is the most famous for noses and seems to have the most surgical experience/cases. The consultation was the shortest though
No. 3 (natural, prefers no implant) - No implant (autologous dermis) + nasolabial angle correction + osteotomy - The only one that recommended osteotomy - The director said, considering my long face, he would barely raise the bridge and use no implant + raise the nasal tip somewhat - If I really want, he would use silicone, but my eyes could look closer together and my face could look longer - The director was really brutally honest.... evaluating my face, but everything he said was true lol He explained in the most detail and also showed before-and-after photos similar to my face while explaining - But the consultant recommended an implant (???)
The explanations are way too different to choose a hospital, right??? Still, I’m asking for opinions...
