Ultherapy review: effects & side effects

I’m in my 40s and am posting a review after getting Ultherapy about once a year. Please understand the casual shorthand style~ I think I’ve had it 5–6 times so far. 600 shots with genuine equipment, and I like that the price has gone down every year. As I get older, I don’t feel much effect. In my late 30s, starting about 2 weeks after getting it, my skin became firm, and the effect I personally felt lasted 5–6 months. Now my skin sagging has become severe, so even after Ultherapy, I can’t really tell whether I had it done or not. The doctor also said thread lifting would be more effective now. (For thread lifting, I’m hesitant about whether Silhouette Soft would be worth the cost, and I’m hesitant about stronger threads because I’m afraid my cheekbones will look explosive and I’ll get a Joker mouth.) Anyway, I think Ultherapy is worth trying when your own skin hasn’t sagged too much yet. As for pain and side effects, I only did it under sedation anesthesia, so I don’t know about the pain without anesthesia. And the first time I got Ultherapy, a nerve near the right side of my mouth was paralyzed, and it took months to come back. It wasn’t like I drooled while just sitting still, but when drinking through a straw or gargling while brushing my teeth, I couldn’t fully close my mouth, so water leaked out. The doctor guaranteed it would return 100%. In reality, about 90% came back within ~2 months, but 100% took about 1 year. Also, a few white Ultherapy tip marks remained on my skin, and those only disappeared after several months too. They were about the level that could be covered with makeup in daily life. I only had these side effects with the first Ultherapy, and maybe because the doctor had honed their skills in the meantime, I had no side effects afterward.
