I will also tell you about the progress after my nose surgery.
1. Had revision rhinoplasty in September 2018.
2. Due to silicone implant movement after surgery, I had a corrective procedure 2 months later.
3. Since the nose surgery was not noticeable, I requested a change from the existing 1 mm silicone implant to 4 mm. (About 1 year later)
4. Because my nostril wings looked spread out, I had alar reduction surgery.
5. After that, depression occurred in the silicone area of the nose surgery and the nasal tip area. The alar reduction also became uneven.
6. Due to COVID, I had revision surgery in 2022. (Surgical details: right alar osteotomy. Revision correction of left alar reduction. Autologous dermis graft to the silicone and nasal tip areas) <The manager in charge changed twice over 4 years>
After surgery, I visited a university hospital because of bleeding inside my nose and asymmetry in the nostril shape. I also sent them a CD, but they said it was because of swelling and not because of the surgery. Two months later, after attaching photos and visiting, they said my columella had collapsed and suggested rebuilding it using autologous costal cartilage or donated costal cartilage. I had spent almost 5 million won for revision surgery, and then they told me to spend another 3 million won, so from my perspective, I was a bit taken aback.
I thought this would be my last hospital and went there with real trust, but in the end, what remained over 4 years was countless revision surgeries and a waste of time and money. Oh, that does not mean the hospital is bad. The director is a nice person. It just felt a bit like being a test subject, with them saying let's try this and let's try that, and that felt bad. Anyway, friends who are going to have surgery, please take this into account, and I will attach photos. Then I hope everyone chooses a good hospital well and gets good results.
