Nose Surgery Reviews

Review of a nose job using autologous costal cartilage! No regrets haha

Before surgery<before surgery>after<1 week>after<1 month>after<recent photo>Hi!! I’m not great at writing, and I’ve never written anything like this in my life, so this may be a bit all over the place, but I’ll try my best because I hope it can help everyone! First, ever since I was little, my low, almost sunken-looking glabella was a complex for me From the middle of my nasal bridge to the tip, there seemed to be some height, but because my glabella and nasal bridge were low and my tip drooped, I hated even having someone look at me from the side.. As my confidence in my side profile dropped, it directly affected my self-esteem too I only vaguely thought I wanted a nose job, but I never actually did it.. Then, while I was between quitting my job and preparing to move to a new one, I felt like if I didn’t do it now, I’d never do it in my whole life!! So I quickly decided to go ahead One of my friends had just gotten a nose job too.. you know the saying, when the neighbor goes to Gangnam because the friend did Seeing my friend’s nose made me feel even more strongly that I wanted one too ^^; You know what I mean, right..?

At first I worried a lot about how to find a clinic.. but each review seemed to show a slight difference in style. Some clinics looked natural, like nothing was done, and some looked glamorous~~ I’m taking classes while preparing for my next job, and I remember searching only nose job reviews on public transit every day going to and from the academy As I did that, I started to get a clearer idea of what style I wanted and what kind of clinic I should look for. Ah, I like a nose with a rounded tip and a certain amount of height! The kind of nose people these days often call naturally pretty looked beautiful to me.

Coincidentally, the friend who had pulled me into the world of nose surgery also had exactly that kind of naturally sharp yet elevated nose.. Since my face already has fairly prominent double eyelids, I thought maybe something a little more glamorous would be fine rather than something too natural, so I looked mainly for clinics that are good at this kind of elevated nose. But honestly.. most of the reviews online are success stories, right? They all say, go here! This place is the best! But you never actually know whether it’s an ad or not.. (I was a bit sensitive because I’d been burned before by viral marketing and once got dragged into an influencer group-buy that failed -_-)

I thought I’d feel better if I went based on recommendations from people around me, so I fixed on one clinic my friend had used and a few clinics from reviews where I thought, wow, they really do beautiful work, and spent a day doing in-person consultations. After going around in person, I understood why nose-surgery seniors say not to rely only on online research and instead to visit as many clinics as possible and go see them yourself. Among the clinics I had been excited about just from online reviews, there were some where the consultation with the doctor was actually disappointing, and some that sneakily slipped in unnecessary treatment recommendations (out of nowhere they were suggesting fat grafting or something.. like, what?)

I didn’t want to, but I couldn’t help developing some bias. Of course, there were honest clinics too, but there were a few that made me feel like I’d been fooled by reviews again.. Among them, Louvre, which my friend recommended after being satisfied with their surgery, didn’t push unnecessary add-ons, and the care and consultation were detailed and kind, so I decided on surgery without much hesitation. At other clinics they recommended things like bulbous nose correction and crooked nose correction.. and so on, but I wasn’t particularly drawn to those.. Here, they said that apart from the bridge and tip, nothing else was really necessary (they said they could do it if I chose, but they didn’t recommend it), so I trusted them and proceeded as planned.

Looking at the CT scan taken before consultation, they said they could use the septum, but because I wanted a tip with a certain amount of height, it would be better to use rib cartilage, so I decided to go with autologous costal cartilage! I had already read a lot of nose-job reviews, so I had expected some use of cartilage and didn’t want it to collapse too quickly, so I was pretty calm about it

But wow.. just like people said, having gauze packed inside the nose was really surprisingly hard. I never realized how important breathing is.. It was a bit better with a humidifier running, but I’m sensitive about sleep, so for about two days after surgery I woke up every few hours The harvest site for the autologous costal cartilage was of course made very small, but it would be a lie to say it didn’t hurt.. After taking painkillers, it got a bit better and became manageable.

People usually say their feelings split the moment they remove the splint a week later and see their nose for the first time.. But I was just so relieved to get that stuffy splint off that I didn’t even have the energy to be excited about the nose looking good.. Only after I got home did I start staring in the mirror and going on and on about how pretty it was At that time I thought I could probably go back to daily life immediately with no problem, but comparing the photos now, I can definitely see there was still a bit of facial swelling I was lucky that the bruising went away fairly quickly too, but is it common for bruises to disappear before the splint comes off..?? Anyone know?

Thankfully, the design came out exactly as I wanted, sharp and elevated, and the autologous costal cartilage harvest site healed quickly too, so the memories of the pain and difficulty faded fast I also kept walking regularly as instructed by the clinic to help the swelling go down faster, and I even lost a little weight.. But above all, now that my nose is more elevated, people often say my face looks sharper than before The doctor had said from the consultation stage that if we made the nose this height while looking at overall facial harmony, the image would become more sophisticated and look less dull, and that really was exactly right

I’m also so glad the friend who introduced me to the clinic had a good result~~ They recommended it because they were satisfied themselves, but they said they were worried a lot about what if I didn’t like it. Now that that worry is off their chest, they keep saying it suits me really well too I think the lots of walking helped, but since my nose is higher, the whole face looks sharper than before, so I’m very satisfied with that part too~~~ The harvest site for the autologous costal cartilage still needs more time to be observed, but for now it’s healing well and the scar is small, so I’m not worried at all!!

Everyone, don’t rely only on online research; even if it takes a long time, visit many clinics in person, compare them carefully, and make your decision after checking everything thoroughly And you know getting advice from friends who’ve had surgery is a bonus, right?
