After <immediately after surgery> After <day 2 after surgery> After <day 3 after surgery> After <day 3 after surgery, when opening the eye (multiple crease?)> Before <before surgery> Hi everyone It has only been 3 days since surgery, but I am a bit worried, so I am posting because I want to hear everyone’s opinions. (The swelling has not fully gone down yet, so I will not post the clinic information in advance.)
1) Decision to have surgery: First, 13 years ago at an ophthalmology clinic, I had eye-shape correction surgery on only my left eye because of ptosis, and then had revision surgery again just one week later, so I had severe trauma from surgery. So even right after surgery, a multiple crease formed, but I could not even think about a third surgery and just lived with it. Then, with my wedding coming up, I thought I should try again, so this time I gathered my courage and had surgery again.
2) Surgery details: I had the surgery last Friday (6/7), and it was done as an incision (lowering the line) + removal of scar tissue + fat repositioning. The doctor also said it seemed like doing only one side might be enough, and I also thought we should not touch the normal side unnecessarily, so I only did one side. I thought that just getting rid of the multiple crease would mean the goal of this surgery was achieved, so I went ahead with it.
3) Post-surgery issue: If you look at the photos below, they are immediately after surgery / day 2 / day 3. Thankfully there is no lagophthalmos, but from day 3 onward, the eye opens with a line forming above the stitches on the incised area. I am wondering if this is the start of another multiple crease, or whether the stitch line is the line where the scar tissue was removed.. The line seems lower than before surgery, but I am worried that another multiple crease may form on the lower line again. I think I will know only after the swelling goes down more, but what do you think?
I want to stop having surgeries now, but will it get better than before? My wedding is in November, and I am so worried that maybe I did this for nothing
