I wrote a post about lower eyelid fat repositioning a few days ago too, and today marks 1 week. Originally, because of aegyo filler + filler moving down under my eyes, etc., the area under my eyes was very plump. At the clinic, they recommended dissolving the filler during surgery + repositioning + fat grafting, but I wasn’t drawn to fat grafting, so I said I only wanted repositioning even if I only got 70-80% of the effect. They said I could see that much effect, and that I could do fat grafting later at any time, so after hearing that, I had the surgery.
In conclusion, after surgery the plumpness under my eyes completely disappeared, but the area where it disappeared became deeply sunken. What I thought was: dissolve the filler > it becomes sunken by the amount dissolved > fat repositioning into that sunken area (tear trough). But seeing that it’s still sunken even after fat repositioning, I also wonder if there wasn’t enough fat. So I guess that’s why they recommended fat grafting...
When I asked the clinic, they said: It’s too early to take any measures at week 1 Swelling goes down from top to bottom It’s normal for the under-eye area to become hollow by the amount of filler dissolved That’s why they recommended fat grafting for the hollowing After one month, they may check and recommend fat grafting
That’s what they said. The worst case is that this hollowing continues and gets worse, so I end up getting fat grafting. My best-case hope is that it’s still only week 1, and when I touch the aegyo area and under my eyes it hurts and feels hard, so as the swelling goes down and time passes, I hope the sunken area improves..
Could what the clinic said be right? People say sunken areas absolutely don’t fill back in... Honestly, I feel like just dissolving the filler alone would have made it look about like this, so I don’t know if they really did the repositioning The exact area that used to be plump is now deeply sunken Even if you’re busy, please give me your opinions If I wait, could the sunken area fill in???
