Double eyelid consultation review
What I wanted was 1) non-incisional, 2) in-line to in-out line, and 3) no ptosis correction. Please keep that in mind as you read!
1. TS Kim Tae-hoon The director's surgery ran late, so the wait was a little long. Still, I had expected it, so it wasn't too hard. He said non-incisional surgery and not doing ptosis correction were possible. He made the line three times at 8, 9, and 10 mm, and then made it a few more times additionally. He also told me that 10 mm looked too overwhelming. When making the line, he said not to open my eyes too forcefully because the line can look thinner if I open them too hard. He said there is no aftercare, and that real-time CCTV viewing is possible. There was no pressure to make a reservation.
2. Noh Sang-hoon Noh Sang-hoon There was almost no wait for the director's consultation. It was a consultant-director-consultant consultation, and when the director came in, the consultant came in too and stood behind him, so I was a little taken aback. The director only made a thin line once, and said non-incisional surgery was possible, but recommended ptosis correction. He said it would be fine because he would do it lightly to avoid side effects. Other than that, he asked if I had any questions and did not really explain more first. It ended the fastest. In the final consultation, the consultant strongly recommended ptosis correction. The consultant said they would provide 3 swelling laser sessions and 1 swelling injection. They said they have CCTV, but it cannot be viewed in real time. They said the revision/AS period is 3 years. There was no pressure to make a reservation.
3. Ilmiri Kim Hyung-seok First, they took several photos and I had a consultation with the consultant. I said I wanted non-incisional surgery and asked about ptosis correction, and she said non-incisional ptosis correction has little effect, so she does not recommend it. The director was the brightest and kindest among the directors I met. He made the line in stages 1 to 4, twice on each eye, for a total of more than 16 times. He said stages 1 and 2 are possible non-incisionally, and stages 3 and 4 need to be done with an incision. He asked me which one I liked, and I said I liked 2 and 3. Then he said he recommended stages 1 and 2, and explained again while making the line why stage 3 looked strange. After hearing it, I understood, so I decided to do stage 2. As for epicanthoplasty, he said I could do it if I wanted the line to be visible at the inner corner of the eye, but I didn't want that, so I decided not to. They said there is a discount if I disclose partial photos, and an additional discount if I write a review and put down a deposit. When I was hesitating because of the deposit, the consultant stepped out. Only up to 90% of the deposit is refundable.
4. Cookie Bae Joo-young They say anesthesia is local anesthesia only. So I think there will be even less worry about ghost surgery. He only made the line once, and it didn't feel like I really loved it. I wanted a line that is hidden at the inner corner and gets higher toward the outer side, but he made the height quite even throughout, so I think that's why. He did not mention ptosis correction until I brought it up, and said he recommends it if I want a clearer eye shape. There was no pressure to make a reservation. They say they do double buried sutures. There is one follow-up visit 4 days after surgery, and revision/AS is free for 1 year. There is a consultation fee of 5,000 won.
5. Eye Contact Lee Seok-hyun They start by taking photos first. He said buried suture would be possible, but I think he said ptosis correction should almost necessarily be done together. To be honest, I had somewhat expected it because many other reviews also had ptosis correction done together. The consultation was kind, and I think it took around 10 minutes, but I am hesitant because of the ptosis correction. There was no pressure to make a reservation. They say they do double buried sutures. Aftercare seems to be at 5 days, 1 month, and 3 months. They say CCTV can be viewed if desired. Revision/AS is free for 2 years, but anesthesia fees are separate in the second year.
6. Gaam It was a director consultation followed by a consultant consultation. This was the first consultation where incision was recommended. He said it was because the line could be made more visible. He said I don't have fat in my eyes and that my skin is thick. He said buried suture is also possible, but the line would be lower, and that the number of stitches or whether it is double buried suture is not important. They said revision/AS is free for 1 year, and about half price in the second year. Anesthesia is local only, and they said there is no CCTV. For aftercare, buried suture has visits on day 1 and after 10 days, and incision has visits on days 1, 4, and 10. And he recommended a brow sub-brow lift? to my mother, who came with me. Since he recommended incision, I am a little conflicted. He made the line several times and was kind. I got the impression he made it a little lower than other places. There was no pressure to make a reservation.
7. Glovi The director is kind, cheerful, and confident. He said buried suture is possible, and that he would do 6 stitches with double buried sutures to prevent it from loosening as much as possible. But personally, I don't like strong fixation, so that bothered me a little. He only made the line on my left eye, and it was pretty. There was a line chart from numbers 1 to 6 in the consultation room, and the one I wanted was number 3, so he made it that way. He also said two things, telling me that I don't necessarily have to do them now, but I should know about them. The points were that I may need incision + ptosis correction later, and that it may be better to do epicanthoplasty. In particular, he said that if I do incision + ptosis correction, I might sleep with my eyes slightly open, but he said it is not a big problem, like how babies sleep with their eyes slightly open. He said I would visit on days 1 and 3 after surgery to check progress and remove one stitch. They said they would do swelling laser, and revision/AS is free for 3 years. Anesthesia is sedation + local, and real-time CCTV viewing is not possible. They said there is a discount if I write a total of 9 reviews, and an additional discount for same-day booking. There was no pressure to make a reservation.
8. Oz I arrived about 2 hours earlier than my consultation appointment time, but I was able to consult right away. There was no one waiting, and it felt quiet and calm. I had the director's consultation first, and he also looked at my face without a mask and examined carefully while having me look up and down. I was especially surprised because, among all the consultations so far, he was the first to notice that I have lower scleral show. He said that in my current eye condition, neither a medium height nor a high height would work, only a low height would. But the height he made did not look extremely low and I liked it, so it was fine. He recommended buried suture and did not recommend canthoplasty. He did not mention ptosis correction. He said buried suture would be 3 stitches, and it seems to be single buried suture. I liked that he said he does only the minimum, conservatively. And while looking at my mother, who came with me, he mentioned skin sagging. After the director's consultation, there was a nurse consultation, and she showed me review photos. Anesthesia is local only, and she said revision/AS is available continuously. (If it repeatedly loosens and is changed to incision, anesthesia fees are separate.) There was no pressure to make a reservation. There is a consultation fee of 5,000 won.
9. Suai They recommended non-incisional ptosis correction and said ptosis correction should be around stage 2 out of stages 1 to 3. They also mentioned a forehead lift, but I am in my early 20s and my forehead is on the wide side, so I wondered if that was really right for me. First, I had a consultation with the director for about 30 minutes, and he explained the pros and cons in detail while showing a PPT. The consultant was also kind. Revision/AS is 2 years, and they say they provide swelling laser almost unlimitedly. It seems to be 5 to 6 stitches with double buried sutures. Local anesthesia is standard, and they said they can provide sedation anesthesia if desired. He also mentioned that I have lower scleral show and said there is about a 50% chance it will improve if I do ptosis correction.
