Before <before surgery // my nose naturally stood out a lot, so (high, hump, hooked nose) I only took selfies in dark places to try to make my nose less noticeable But even then my nose still stood out a lot> Before <swelling was severe and my cheeks were so puffed up that the thing they gave me to put on my eyes I ended up putting on my chin instead (I couldn’t wash my hair, so my hair got all oily)> After <100 days passed> After <100 days passed (taken just now)> After <100 days passed (no filter, iPhone 8 default camera)>
Hello I had surgery on February 2. I got a discount on the condition that I would write a review, so I’m writing this at the 3-month mark while I’m at it. They originally told me to post it on other communities, but I personally am so satisfied that I’m writing it here instead. And I’m writing it long, haha... I’m super satisfied;;
The direction of the surgery was: even if I’m a little less pretty, I want it to be natural and pretty no matter what. Absolutely natural!!! I wanted my nose not to stand out against my eyes!!! Personally, if a nose looks obviously done, the whole impression gets too strong and I really end up seeing nothing but the nose.....(just my personal taste..)
My original nose was high, but because it had a hump + hooked tip, the nostrils weren’t visible from the front + the tip cartilage was large, so when pressed it felt soft and squishy inside like it was hollow... It was like that (a friend teased me and called it an air pocket). It was high, and at other clinics too, everyone said that if silicone were used, because of the step-off, they’d only put in about 2 mm or not use it at all. I wanted the nostrils to show a little from the front. (Not being able to see the nostrils because it was a hooked nose was a complex for me)
As I kept visiting clinics, I learned that I had very little septal cartilage, so I shouldn’t use septal cartilage as material, and that humps have a strong tendency to come back, so if ear cartilage is used, it comes back quickly. I realized the answer was autologous costal cartilage only
But while going around for consultations, I realized the skill level of doctors who do nose surgery is truly all over the place...
One person immediately judged from the CT that I shouldn’t use septal cartilage, one person just said to use ear cartilage (then why did I even get the CT...?), and one person said that because septal cartilage was insufficient, we should supplement with septal cartilage + ear cartilage. (They said autologous costal cartilage for the first surgery would be too much of a burden)
But I really did not want revision surgery My first eye surgery had been a total disaster because I had it done at a large hospital during the old ghost-surgery days for 500,000 won, and after hearing for years and years, "Did you get double eyelid surgery?" I had revision surgery at a neighborhood clinic, and that didn’t go well either, so I was even looking into a third surgery, haha;;
I just thought that if I spent a little more and visited a few more clinics, solving it properly on the first try would be... the way to save more money and time and make things less exhausting... I realized that too early
So for the first surgery, I just went straight with autologous costal cartilage...(There was also someone around me who had a hump and got revision surgery with autologous costal cartilage... they said it had collapsed again) They asked if I wanted 2 mm of silicone, but after thinking about it, I decided not to use it and only raised it to the point where there was no step-off. (My nose was already high And if silicone were inserted, I might end up needing revision surgery, but I really, really, really, really hated revision surgery)
But I’m so satisfied First of all, in the early period... I mean, one month after surgery, even people who had known me for a long time didn’t know I had surgery... I had paid 6.8 million won, but ah
Then when I said, "I got nose surgery!" they’d go, huh? and look more closely, then say, ah, it’s better that way after all!! That was their reaction So I thought, huh, did I get nose surgery for nothing...(I looked at the photos again then, and the swelling hadn’t gone down enough;;) I wondered
But now, since I’ve had nose surgery, people say things like: your nose is really pretty. Your nose is really high. I hear that a lot And if I tell a close female friend that I had surgery, she’s surprised that there’s truly not a single visible trace...!
If I go on a blind date and walk side by side with the guy -> I definitely hear, "Your nose is really pretty." ...hehe
At first I wondered if people were picking on me because it looked obviously done?? (paranoia;;) But when I asked a friend, she said it really... really didn’t show, and that it turned out well.
And if it had looked obviously done, people apparently wouldn’t be able to bluntly say, "Your nose is pretty~~~" Because if they don’t even need to be told, they’d know you had it done, so if it’s someone meeting you for the first time, they wouldn’t mention the nose at all!
Hehe after that I became so satisfied with the nose surgery The recovery period was a bit hard, but looking at my old photos now, I absolutely never want to go back to how it was before I think I understand why people get addicted to cosmetic surgery... why people who have it once keep going back for more...
But still... after cosmetic surgery, I think you shouldn’t get greedy and instead set a limit like, this is really the best I can become in terms of appearance. The rest of becoming prettier is now in caring for my mind and refining my character! It’s in building my abilities!
I think when planning cosmetic surgery, you should set limits on the changes in appearance and let go of greed to some extent! Use as many methods as possible to minimize side effects, and visit a lot of clinics too!
If you leave comments with questions about the nose, I’ll reply!
Thank you for reading such a long post!
