I had my first rhinoplasty on April 5, 2021. The materials used were donated costal cartilage, ear cartilage, and septal cartilage. I had columellar extension and support grafting, plus bulbous nose correction. My nose was low and small, but because there was a lot of manipulation, my nose became crooked and one nostril was almost blocked. The septum was deviated and nearly blocked one side. I had no functional problems before surgery, and my cosmetic surgery was not done together with functional surgery. They said the protruding septum might be something that had been overlaid, and that it might be okay if it was removed, so I had only a clean removal without touching the septum.. (May 10, 2022) The removal itself went well. But although the protruding septum became smaller than before removal, it still protrudes to one side, and the columella is also crooked. After my first rhinoplasty, it was true that my own septum had become deviated too..! Because before I had any cosmetic surgery at all, my septum did not protrude like this.. Anyway, this is the factual part up to here.
I am in a situation where I need to have only deviated septum surgery separately. Do I absolutely have to get reconstruction..? The protruding part of the septum is near the entrance.. Is there any way to correct it as much as possible other than reconstructing it with other cartilage? Has anyone maybe had this done.. Please help.
