I had incisional double eyelid surgery over 10 years ago, but one eye came undone a year later, and I had just lived with it like that until I finally got one eye stitched.
I searched online and went to consultations at a few places. Two places wanted to do incisions on both eyes and completely redo everything, and one of them even added fat repositioning on top. They even told me to avoid places that recommend non-incisional suturing. ...But when I saw that person's double eyelid condition, I honestly couldn't bring myself to get revision surgery there; the review lookbook made all the surgeries look successful. But I didn't have time to redo both eyes and wait for the swelling to go down, and I still didn't want to completely redo them.
Anyway, I only did the one eye that had come undone at a one-doctor clinic that said they could match it with non-incisional suturing. The attitude was kind of rude and it had a past-its-prime? kind of feel, but because of personal circumstances my schedule was urgent, and the doctor was an eye specialist somewhat known for non-incisional surgery, so I just did it. I also thought of it a bit lightly since it was only for matching.
It's still only week 3, so it's slightly sausage-like, but I'll wait 6 months and then decide whether to get revision surgery or aftercare. It's still swollen, so it feels like I've become a rag doll with one eye stitched by a sewing machine. But since the loosened eye was fixed, I'm just satisfied.
I don't want to completely redo my eyes, so until I get a lift, I think I'll probably keep living while getting revisions here, unless I find another, more outstanding doctor..
