It was a hospital near Gangnam Station. First, when I had the exam, my corneal thickness was 500, I had high astigmatism, and my pupils were on the larger side at night. They said SMILE LASIK was possible, so I booked a surgery date right away and went through with it. The surgery time was really short, about 15 minutes. Afterward, I went home with blurry vision, and after about 3 hours the world started to look clear. Amazing...... I did rest for 1 week after surgery, but for people whose work involves looking at a monitor, even if they rest 2-3 days, I think they might feel a bit dizzy if they keep looking at a monitor and working after surgery.
Personally after surgery, Because my nighttime pupil size was originally on the larger side, my eyes are dazzled when I see bright lights at night / because I had high astigmatism, a slight amount of astigmatism still remains after surgery. This much was something I expected even before surgery, and other than that, I don’t have any side effects yet. Oh, I was worried because my eyes were originally a bit dry, but the degree of dryness after surgery is about the same as before.
For now, just the fact that I don’t have to wear glasses and don’t have to put in contact lenses every time I go out still makes me so, so satisfied with the surgery!!
