I covered my eyes with stickers, but when looking at my facial features overall, they were the cool and large type, you know? My nose wasn’t exactly small either, but because it felt puffy, when looking at my whole face, because of my nose, my image felt more just young and unattractive rather than feminine.
So instead of just being stressed like this, I thought I should get nose surgery and started looking into it, but it seemed like each hospital pursued a different? kind of look! Some places did it very naturally so it barely looked like surgery, and some places did it extremely glamorous..? I thought neither of those would really suit me, but after researching cosmetic surgery so much, I learned the term natural-glam too lol, and I think I mainly looked into places that do that style a lot.
I thought that no matter how much nose surgery I got, if it didn’t suit my image it would all be useless, so even when I went for consultations, places that just roughly looked and said, you can raise it about this much, I just thought of it as an experience and didn’t think more about them.. I went to places that didn’t only look at nasal bridge height, but carefully checked how they would raise the nasal tip and whether that height would suit me.
But what I felt is, places that many people look for and that are famous are hard to book consultations at, right? So there may be everyone here who thinks, whatever, I’ll just go somewhere else, but cosmetic surgery itself isn’t something you research for a short period and then have right away, so I hope you don’t suddenly book surgery at a place where consultations are easy to schedule, and instead, even if you have to wait a little, also get consultations at famous places.
The place where I got my nose surgery this time was also hard to book a consultation at, but compared with when I got consultations elsewhere, they explained nasal materials and the surgical method much more clearly, and the director drew pictures while telling me how much he would raise the nasal bridge, so I felt more excited than burdened about the surgery.
And after the nose surgery.. honestly, because of the splint, I don’t know how I got through that one week lol Breathing only through my mouth was more uncomfortable than I expected, and my mouth got so dry that it was hard.. I usually drink very little water, but during that time I drank over 2 L every day. That made my throat feel less dry and rough.
Still, when the splint came off, I was first surprised because there was less swelling and bruising than I expected.. And I was also surprised that the distinctive blunt feeling disappeared both from the side and from the front.
My friends who know I got nose surgery used to go “tsk tsk” when I was struggling because of the splint early on, but now they compliment me every time they see me, saying it suits my facial features well lol After surgery, I couldn’t drink alcohol for a month and had to be very careful with my nose, so I paid a lot of attention to it, but with this level of satisfaction, I thought it was okay to put up with that a little lol
Oh right, for my nose materials, I used silicone and donated costal cartilage! For the costal cartilage, the director said I could comfortably choose between autologous costal cartilage and donated costal cartilage, so after thinking about it, I went with donated costal cartilage~ Any nose material has clear pros and cons, so I hope everyone understands the material accurately and decides carefully before surgery.
