Eye Surgery Reviews

I got incisional double eyelid surgery together with fat removal! (In-out line)

After<Before surgery above, after surgery below>After<Day 1 after incisional surgery!>After<2 weeks after surgery!>After<Recent photo haha>I didn’t originally have eyes with no double eyelids, but the line was so thin and I did feel like my eyes looked a bit stuffy, so I ended up getting incisional surgery! Actually, my friends tried to stop me a lot, saying why would someone who already has double eyelids insist on getting double eyelid surgery.. but once I get hooked on something, I’m the type who has to push ahead with it, and since long ago I didn’t like how my double eyelids looked like they were there but also not there, so I got the surgery impulsively lololol

Maybe because I have a somewhat defined nasal bridge, I’m often told that my facial features are a bit strong.. so I was worried that if I made the line too dramatic, my impression would become too intense, so I mainly chose clinics whose review photos looked natural! I wanted the line to be high, but I didn’t want my impression to change too much, so I think I was really strict when making my list.. haha

I went around to quite a lot of clinics for consultations, and at most of them they asked how I’d feel about doing lower posterior canthoplasty or upper canthoplasty together too! They said it would look prettier if I did canthoplasty as well haha Since most clinics talked about canthoplasty, and this was my first eye surgery, I naturally thought my eyes needed canthoplasty, but at the last clinic I went to for consultation, they said my horizontal eye length was already on the long side, so I probably didn’t need canthoplasty. That made me trust them right away lol When I was looking into clinics through reviews, everyone said to be cautious of clinics that over-treat, and I wondered whether clinics like that really existed, but I think that was when it really hit me lol

Just in time, the director at this clinic also checked the line so many times, and maybe because it’s a private clinic, the care conditions such as aftercare, swelling management, follow-ups, and so on seemed better than other clinics, so I made a reservation right after the consultation and ended up having surgery two days later!

I have a bit of flesh on my upper eyelids, so I said I wanted to do fat removal together, and since my skin is also a bit thick, I got incisional surgery! Honestly, with incision plus fat removal.. I was really worried before surgery because I thought the swelling would be severe..? I had only been working a part-time job, but once I started looking into double eyelid surgery I even quit that, so I thought I’d have to be completely stuck at home for about 2 weeks. But when I saw my eyes the day after surgery, there was less swelling than I had worried about, so it was really fascinating lol I had even bought swelling tea, but I didn’t drink any of it, and I diligently got the laser care provided by the clinic, did cold and warm compresses at home.. after getting the stitches removed, I also went on walks every night, and the swelling went down so fast. When I went for my follow-up, the director even praised me, saying it seemed like I’d worked hard on swelling care lol

They said swelling from incisional surgery needs to be watched for a few more months, so I’m thinking of visiting once more within 6 months to see the director! haha At first, even the friends who tried to stop me by asking why I’d bother getting double eyelid surgery now say it looks much better that I did it, so I feel good ^_^b
