Before <before entering the operating room> After <2 months later> - Reason for deciding on revision surgery
Back in high school, I got double-eyelid surgery near my house without really knowing anything... I knew it was thick, but I thought it wasn’t bad and lived with it. But one day I suddenly got really self-conscious about it. I searched online and found all this stuff about double-line surgery and so on... I felt like text wouldn’t be enough, and I needed to ask face to face! So I spent some time researching. What I wanted was just one thing: for the inner corner of my eye to become thinner and for the line to continue all the way to the end!! That was it (because the inner corner of my eye stressed me out so much..) Even after booking at Eye Contact Plastic Surgery, I kept thinking maybe I should just live with it? What if it goes badly? But after meeting the coordinator and the director, I changed my mind and thought I should do it here. First of all, they were so kind, and the way they spoke with confidence about what double-line surgery is, what style I wanted, what would improve after surgery, and that they would do their best to match my desired style made me trust them So I booked on the spot and left.
- On the day of surgery
1. Before surgery When doing the final design, they ask how you want it done. I said there that I didn’t want my eyes to get bigger, I just wanted the inner corners of my eyes to be naturally thinner!! The director said okay and did the design. (They design it very meticulously.)
2. After surgery Right away I moved to the care room and had ice packs applied. They also asked whether I felt dizzy. After I calmed down, when I looked at my eyes while changing clothes in the changing room, they were already thinner than before Even though there was fixing tape on top of my eyes! So I was like, wow, this can work..? and made a reservation to come back in a week to remove the stitches and left.
- Stitch removal
Because it was covered with tape, I was so, so, so curious to see what stitch removal would look like There was no wait, and they started right away as soon as I got there. It stung a little, but it didn’t hurt a lot. After everything was removed, I looked in the mirror and wow, half of the sausage had disappeared After they were all removed, the director came over and said, “It looks good, doesn’t it?” and I laughed and said, “Right?” Then I booked a one-month follow-up, got the swelling laser, and went home.
- Closing
I wanted to have it done at a hospital with a single main surgeon, and I wanted a confident surgeon. (I had been hesitating right up until the consultation.) During the consultation, they said they could do it like this and that, and told me not to worry, and I felt, okay, I’m doing it here. Now it’s basically over once I go back for the 6-month follow-up. I can’t believe how fast time passed. The after photo is from 2 months later~
